I'm having trouble running this. At first I downloaded the latest version from here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5535. When I started up the game(after changing some settings to test) it didn't work. Nothing was different. So then I downloaded another version from here http://www.angelfire.com/games6/timeslip/morrow.html started up nothing happened again. Started to change some settings(chose best quality) started it up. It loaded then after like 3 secs of being in the game I got an error from vista and it exited. Changed the settings again this time I chose best performance same thing happened but faster this time(like 2 seconds). Then I went to default settings and right when it started up(didn't even start a game) it exited. I'm pretty new at mods so I have no idea what I'm doing. Can anybody help?

PC Specs

Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6ghz overclocked to 2.4ghz

2gb of DDR2 667mhz

Nvidia 9500gt 1gb DDR2 VRAM (Maxes out UT3, CoD4 and tons of other games at medium resolutions so it should run this fine)

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit(could this be the problem?)

ok people that us vista..... you do know there is a reason vista sales are down right? its because everyone is sticking with Windows XP because it is good and vista has tons of bugs that need to be solved in patches and the likes so that may be the main reason why this it wont work for you or its a user error either way ya

MGE works fine for me on Vista 32 Basic. If vista is the problem it is because of your install. If you are aware of how you must get around Vista's UAC then the next place to look is your video card(if not say so and i will tell you what you need to do to optimize your Vista OS, I run Morrowind, oblivion and Fallout 3 without fail and haven't had a single glitch with Vista since i reinstalled and optimised over a year ago). I'm using a 8400 GS with 512mb DDR2. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your gpu and make sure you read the MGE documentation very carefully.

Just downloaded MGE and set it up, put it on best quality because i wanted to see what it could do and it looked great. one annoying thing was that when i loaded a game the screen would be almost entirely white with light, but changing cells stopped this problem. So I played for a while, and on full quality my computer was running it rather slow.

I went back into mgeGui, and hit the default settings button on the first page, and restarted morrowind. Only problem is now, the blinding light is there permanently when I'm outside, and when im inside there is a similar problem of about 3/4 of the screen being grey shapes.

Has anyone heard of anything like this before, and if so, do you know how i could fix it? My best idea is that its a shader problem, possibly to do with my graphics card, but I have absolutely no idea when it comes to graphics.

Thanks, absolutely love the mod apart from this problem.

jamespb1,

Did you disable pixel shading in Morrowind Options before running MGE for the first time? You should. Turn those off, relaunch MGE, use Morrowind default, then give it a go.

could someone leave some images of some other things like people and armor also maybe a close up of a monster?

it would attract more people to download because only seeing 2 bearly helpful images that only show the land with increased graphics
