PanzerDakkan
Hey everybody, im looking for a list of mods that have been tested and are proven to do what they claim without bugs, or at the least function without any serious bugs that would make it difficult or impossible to use. bben46
All mods have been tested - however, not with every possible combination of other mods. The permutations get insane very quickly - Morrowind only has a bit over 3000 mods, and that means the possible combinations will be in the millions. However, many mods are easy to figure out whether they will cause problems or not - if they are changing something that is already changed by another mod they will conflict. But often those can play nice together if the load order is changed. EVERY game on the nexus has a list of mods by endorsements - these are the mods that will be most recommended as well - actually several different lists based on different criteria. For Morrowind look here: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/top/?

Until the closure of PES very few Morrowind modders actually uploaded their mods here. There's more than 15,000 on Morrowind Modding History (although there's a fair number of duplicates and historical versions there). Even with MMH a lot of Morrowind mods are lost. Sadly. Even if OldeCow69 provided a database backup to Fliggerty, god knows how many mods that was lost for good unless someone have a copy of those unique mods that ElricM once had. There is also GHF top 100 mod list. Edited November 30, 2014 by leonardo2

I am working on a project to collect the best of the best mods and I did not know to look for endorsements, that will help me ALOT. "Best of the best" is so subjective.<snip> Is there a listing system on MMH for mods that have been tested, or an endorsements system?<snip>Nope. Well what are you using as a reference to determine what is best? I base all my decisions on what is Lore correct/friendly, and what maintains the general atmosphere of the game while enhancing it graphically as well as gameplay. So, for example, the 'best of the best' for head/face replacers would be the mod that looks the most realistic and does not offend Lore. Or, texture overhauls for terrain, buildings, items, and so on. Things are only subjective when you allow them to be ruled by emotion rather than logic. So in the end i would say that nothing is subjective so long as you stay rational.
leonardo2
Is there a listing system on MMH for mods that have been tested, or an endorsements system?A system for endorsement similar to what Nexus has? No a similar endorsement system has never existed and a system like that will never be introduced. Also keep in mind that all mods on MMH are considered to be a final version, so having an endorsement system is needless. Except for all salvaged mods on PES, unless a mod author has specific stated that. However, all mods on MMH that were previously hosted on PES had a quality system, meaning every mod that was released on PES (before 2012) needed to match a certain criteria(s) and here is more information about that. bben46
No mater how hard you try to be rational in selecting the best of the best, any list will still be just your personal opinion. But that is not necessarily a bad thing either as long as you realize that not eveyone shares your personal opinion. Not everyone is going to agree on best mods, and I have seen many disagreements - especially from people that insist that their opinion is better than someone elses opinion.
