Whats the longest you have gone on 1 save?

I don't know on actual hours but a lvl 29 character is the farthest I have gone. No joke today I just beat for the first time the main story with my level 29 character ... yeah it took me several years but at last I can check off my list Skyrim main story not being completed.

Well I've played around 1000 hours, and had 4 characters.

So i guess that averages out to about 250 hours each

I've never had to abandon a game because of lag or save issues, I normally restart to try a new race or just to have a fresh start.

Okay, mate. The first thing I see is dirty plugins. You need to clean Update esm, and the DLCs (NOT SKYRIM ESM). You also have a few mods that need to be cleaned. Do you have TES5Edit? If not get it and clean them. Gopher has done a video on how to do this, here.

 

Some of your mods I don't recognize, some I do but many of them seem to be armors and such. However, there are a few I recognize which are heavy and one that causes crazy issues. Player Headtracking, Paradise Halls and it's expansions, Realistic Needs, Civil War Overhaul, Alternate Actors, Enhanced Blood and Monster mod. Monster Mod can cause a lot of issues and instability, along with electric-slide and crucified animals. There may be more, but like I said I don't recognize some of the plugins.

 

The main thing is you need to clean those dirty edits. In an un-modded Skyrim Bethesda's dirty plugins probably won't do anything. In modded Skyrim it will cripple you. Gopher explains it in his video. :)

Ok sweet thank you very much im going to look into all this info right now and see if it works.

 

Which of those mods you listed are the worst of them? I never use Paradise Halls and never even notice any changes with CWO so I can take those out if the first method wont work but AA and realistic need are a must for me head tacking isn't 100% necessary but ill take it out if I must. But what ever you recommend ultimutly ill take out just to get the game running right.

Ok I just cleaned my skyrim using TES5edit and started up my character. I really can't tell to much but my Realistic needs said I was hungry so I tired eating and it didn't update any message then after about a minute it said i over eat probably the script catching up and registering all the food I ate. So my guess is that it did noting.

 

I tried running loot right now and it said 3 warnings and 3 dirty plugins

 

It says

That is all the info I have so far.

 

Honestly even at this point im scared of starting a new character and this just happening again. When I start a new save everything works just fine with no lag but maybe later it will act up again.

 

Thank you for the help so far I really hope we can fix this it really sucks I haven't played skyrim in a few weeks.

I've got several 100h+ saves. But I think the oldest and longest save I've had is long gone (Shift + Del followed by "Oh crap!", when removing redundant saves), but the longest I still have is my Level 104 Female Nord Vampire with just over 150 hours. Currently sitting at 1200h+ total time played. I might still have it on an external HDD somewhere, now that I think about it.

 

Been working on a new save for the past 2 days. One where I speed ran the main storylines of Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn with nothing script intensive installed, so that I can backup the hell out of it and then use it as a base for my other characters. I should have done this a long time ago to be honest.

 

I also quite recently made a switch over to Mod Organizer, which I highly suggest! Took me almost a day to make my setup back together on it, but it's totally worth it. Now I can have different mod setups for different saves and don't have to worry about cluttering my Data folder or breaking saves. Follow Gopher's YouTube series and do the switch that way, just "play along" with the videos. Made the process very easy! :)

I'm still on the same one since I bought the game 14 months and 2000+ hours ago. I had to run it through a savegame script cleaner once as some weird stuff was happening trees floating in midair and the like which I put down to a badly uninstalled mod. Its been fine ever since. I'm more careful now especially with script heavy mods.

 

If you're trying out mods and you don't like it revert to an earlier save after removing it, adding and removing mods on the same save is a really bad idea. I have so many mods though that it's become very specific to this machine if I try and use it on a different PC it'll crash very quickly. Which is one very good argument for keeping your game vanilla.
