THUUUUDDDDD

The battering ram sounded again.

"There is no time!" shouted Augusta. "Divisions thirty-two through thirty-seven, to the east gate! Divisions thirty-seven through fourty-two, to the west gate! We shall meet them on each side!" With the the Imperial woman turned and ran off towards the east gate. She did not watch to see if they were following her. Most of the men stood in confusion.

Augusta skirted the courtyard and hid under an elaborate crennelation, seeking shelter from the arrows. Not enough of the Imperial Legion was following her, certainly not the divisions she had ordered. If only some of the men came, they would all be slaughtered. One-hundred strong on each side should be a sufficient charge force. If only the Legions would listen to her!

Garret saw his target take a hit to the chest, and sprung into action. He reached into the man's pocket and pulled out a bottle of cyrodillic brandy. After a thurough inspection of it,he smiled to the man."Good vintage sells good!",he bellowed,"Your life will be a good trade...Come one dunmers! Take me to hell!" The slaughter began.

The arrows ceased breifly. Augusta turned one last time to the legions. "Stay here like cowards and die, or fight for your lives, and for the Empire!" she shouted and slipped through the bars of the east gate, skirting to the east and around the outerwall, taking in the attacking army. She heard them men form behind her. She did not turn, praying it was enough. "Charge!" a Captain called near her, and the soldiers behind them took up the call. Augusta ran into the battle, longsword held high.
