Vindekarr
The add for "Jade dynasty" for some reasons really gets the hairs on the back of my neck prickling. It just looks suspect, I didnt have my testing PC operational-it's being repaired, so I couldnt see for sure if it was a scam/virus, but it really looks likely. The point is the ad is a bunch of lies. It claims to have "over 100, million players worldwide" and "200 VS 200 player battles" Now, in pretty much any modern situation, 200 VS 200 is technologicaly impossible, certainly with the funds available to a freeware game as this claims to be. MAG can achieve barely 50 total players, and it had a huge budget. What's more, in an MMO, that would be just impossible. Anyone who has seen a big clump of players and the singularity of lag they create will tell you that 200 V 200 could only be a lie. Secondly, that claim is "over 100 million players" is also a major lie, in all it's history, World Of Warcraft had about 11.8 million players. thats since it's release all those years ago. So for a game that's claiming to be virtualy new, it's got to have outsold WoW by a factor of ten, and I'd have heard of that because Im a former MMO journo, especialy expert on asia where this is from, and I've NEVER heard of this. Anything this ambitious would be world famous, it isnt, furthermore it gives no information about a manufacturer, publisher or designer, and shows no footage, or ijn game images. I suspect a hack or scam, or at the very least, false marketing, which is a fairly major crime in my home nation.

satanslilhelper
Are you talking about an ad for this Jade Dynasty? My husband has been playing that for about a year or so, and it's a real game. It's a subsidiary of the Perfect World franchise. He was in the closed beta, and the open beta. He says he's not sure about the 100 million players claim, though it is predominantly populated by chinese players that he doesn't mix with much. However there are 200 v 200 player battles - the various clans and factions can battle over territory. I've seen him participate in several such battles, and it's crazy. And also quite laggy! I've never found the time to get involved in it myself (I tend to get really invested in my "fad du jour", and at the moment its Fallout!)Hugs & kisses,Elouise
ub3rman123
Heheh, I wonder if by '100 million players online', they're talking about gamers online. Not just in their game. Clever.
BlueDanube
maybe what they meant by 100 million is a player that played other game from the same developer of the advertised game or other player that played using local server.
Sebiale
I never click on advertisements. By 100 million, they are most likely referring to the number of characters created in the game. I could believe that.I imagine their subscribers are significantly less. The 200 vs 200 is likely the average number of players that are actually in PvP combat with one another at any single time. Advertisers are paid to use language in order to mislead your impressions.
