AliasTheory
Oh, speaking of cats with odd coloration I am reminded of my aunt's cat... My aunt's cat has a grey hair color with one white haired leg. The cat strangely enjoys water. Once this guy jumped in my toilet and into the sink. Therefore, the only way to manage this was to keep him away from sinks and close the toilet and bathroom door all the time. He also enjoys being with my dog since my family "cat-sits" him a good deal. Often came to visit me when I was sleeping and bit me for attention (refill my water/food tray please!) Vindekarr
LOL! You actualy can handle your pets without wearing protective gear? I feel jealous! http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mouse_spider.jpg If one of those horrid things bites you, you get a 4-inch deep laceration. That's a Mouse Spider. I "spider-sat" one for my friend once and it bit right through my glove, horrid horrid creature. If Im ever going to stop keeping the various creepy crawlies I so like, I'd probably get a cat. It would be a nice change of pace, since atleast you lot dont have to wear welding gloves for fear of getting a pair of organic scimitars rammed through your hand at feeding time. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Theraphosa_blondi_1.jpg<not one of mine, but a magnificent example of a tarantula. Dont get me wrong, they're beautiful animals, graceful, intelligent, and have huge lifespans(up to 30 year captive for females) but they can be real handfuls sometimes and sometimes I just wish sometimes for a change of pace. And just a bit of info-they arent actualy all that agressive, atleast the types I keep. But for your own safety, assume that they are. Dont ever stick your hand in a spider tank, let alone near a wild spider. Tarantulas like those I keep go into "you're makin me mad!" stance before they bite, but they've got barbhairs they can launch like arrows, so safety first, even if they're your pet. It's that constant need for safety I somtimes find a bit grating.

grannywils
Yeah, it was a pretty cool sight to see. One day there was all this weird white stuff all over the tank...we thought it was fungus or something...but my boyfriend was like "woah, those are eggs!" :D Fish are awesome to keep, your beta is very pretty :) I can't keep those though :( Goruamis would kill them. I'll have to get some pictures of the other fish :) The loach is pretty cool :) Looks like an eel with a catfish face hehe :) Got some pretty cool live plants in the tank too :) Ah yes...I still tear up when I think of our little girl: http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv200/Illiana86/cap_013.jpg Princess :) She was such a sweetheart. Was our first animal we got when we got together. She was pretty old when we got her...she passed a few years ago. Sweetest little mouth you'd ever meet, seemed like she never shut her whiny mouth lol...I still hear her in my head...it's weird. Romeo is great though, he doesn't talk much, but he loves to play :) Got decapitated toy mice everywhere :P Iliad, what a beautiful tortoise shell cat! Go back and look at my post #45. She looks exactly like my cat, TinkerBelle. My photo is a little faded, but believe me the coloration is exactly the same, especially the odd orange on her nose. They could be twins! When I first came to your page, I thought, "how did a photo of Tinker get here?" My Tinker talks constantly, and is very neurotic. She is 14 years old and in very fine health, very small and agile. She loves to chase and sometimes eat lizards if she can still catch them. When she was younger and we lived in AZ she was better at it, as they were in more abundance. Pushkatu
Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures with the fish tank Illiad86, much apreciated. I also have one albino cat fish, but mine's very small still. I never had a loach and a pleco before, I'm not sure if I had a tetra, but I know for sure that I had a pair of gurami(that's how we call them here). That bamboo plant looks great, I also have one in a bowl just with water and it's doing great. I wonder if I could plant a baby bamboo in my tank... Here's what I have:http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk185/pushkatu/CIMG3278.jpg Edited September 15, 2010 by Pushkatu
