RebelOConner Posted September 14, 2010 Share Posted September 14, 2010 PaintDotNet is a simple and easy-to-use tool, but it lacks of effect in comparison of gimp2.i downloaded a lot on the official forum, and some of them are really usefull for texturing.this list is far to be exhaustive, and i put here some i use the most.notice it's possible to download without registration.Normal maps by simon brownto make normal mapsAlpha mask by Illnab1024inport transparency as a greyscale image ( a color image works, and it's possible to copy an image )Transparency by BoltBaitchange the transparency of the full layer, otr of the selectionConditionnal hue/saturation by evanoldsmofify the color of the whole layerColor match by pyrochild( he made a lot of plugins)change the color of an image to match another imageSeamsless helper by BoltBaithelp for seamless texture. more work is required anywayDon't hesitate to download and try plugins, then post the links here. Now if I'm working on a project and I'm like, "Hmmm I really need a filter that does X,Y and only .98562* Z" I don't have to hope someone else has happened to have already written one. I just do it. And then I have it. And that is cool. Get it at Here!! Now!! lol You may want to try My Normal mapping tools for Paint.Net posted here on the Nexus at here G.S.
