I know the nature of deadric quests and that in the quest itself, the way the deadric prince talks like you are forced to do it (lol) but, there are really no mods for this? Just knocking out the guy mod maybe? Another way to break the spell modl? Another mini quest mod? Nothing? I can't kill the guy with my evilest vampire assassin and she killed a begger even. It normal to think of him like that in the start though.He later opens a shrine of mara later in the temple, wanting to spend all his life asking for forgiveness for what he did. You can ask him to be a follower and he is a chatty one that is great to have. He always talk about how bad he feels then. "I've done a lot of... questionable things in my life. Serving Vaermina was a horrible mistake, and I hope Mara will forgive me one day.""I've always felt a great deal of guilt running from Nightcaller Temple and leaving my friends to die. I'll never forgive myself for that.""It's wonderful to be able to sleep soundly, don't you think?" I recall I had him in my first run, I was in a dwarven ruin and he said ""Did you hear that? A metal on stone sound... hmmm, perhaps it was nothing."I thought followers had the AI ti know if something was coming or the like, so I was scared. It was so funny.
