j4y1981
I wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move it if the is actually a forum for Fallout: New Vegas. Anyway i was curious if anyone knew how or if the modding of said game would be as easy or done the same as in FO3 due to it using steam? Also while I'm at it will existing things be able to cross over for example a body mod or a weapon mesh? Thanks Jay
Yossarian22
To repeat it just another time: - FNV has a new GECK Editor and a new Dialogue Editor, so the Modding Possibilities will be better than before.- Steam has no whatsoever impact on anything ! That didn't really answer the second part about being able to use existing bodymods or weapons meshes? :P
Quetzlsacatanango
It's not out yet, so how can we know? My guess is that it will, from the screens they may have even reused some vanilla fo3 stuff.

throttlekitty
With the amount of reused assets, I think that Bethesda's usual "no content from other games" might not apply when it comes to F3>F:NV. It wouldn't be overkill to step up the nif version and re-export everything, but that also means that everything would need a proper QA once-over before handing it all over to Obsidian. Nadin
If we didn't publicly merge F03 and NV, but posted how to do a quick-and-dirty version yourself, would it still be illegal?
ecksile
I dont think it'd be anymore illegal then posting how to build a bomb on a website. Of course it would be some sort of breach of contract/rules to post it on the nexus, but I dont think its the information itself that's illegal just what you get when you put it all together. Unless its top secret government info that your leaking...but unless stated in the EULA for NV or FO3 and some sort of piracy was used in the creation (such as ripping meshes) I dont think so.. Yeah i guessed as much just wasn't sure if anybody had heard anything online, I've been to busy playing halo reach on Xbox. :P I was a bit disappointed that they hadn't implemented freeplay although I'm sure they will release a DLC that adds it as BS did to FO3.
