ATI Radeon a good news post.

Well I like most owners of ATI radeon video cards have been battling the usual problems of low fps, lag, stuttering and cdt. After a lot of , no a very big lot of stuffing around, I have found what seems to be a good solution. I now can run 40 to 60 fps inside, out side, anywhere, no lag and no stuttering and running two R7260fx cards in crossfire. I ditched enb and now use Imagator, Dynavision, and HiAlgoBoost. I also use the Skyrim ini and Skyrim prefib files from perfornance and realistic ENB from the very high setting file. With the combined use of Dynavision and Imagator the grahpics are just as good as ENB, just takes a bit of trying different settings with Imagator. The Skyrim ini and prefib files from performance and realistic enb seem to be what gives the gain in fps. Due to my lack of restraint in messing around with Skyrim adding and removing mods and trying to get a decent solution to the video graphics the games saves have been butchered just abit. this I believe has made my game a bit unstable. So I still get regular cdts, but at level 62 I am not about to restart just yet. I have used the usual utilities. like Save cleaner and Save tool to clean up my saves. Tes5edit to clean dirty mods that Loot found. Also checked via Wyrebash if there where any conflicting mods and there where none. I have installed 240 plugins merged down to 195 active plugins. So for those that have radeon cards and issues I hope you will find this post usefull.

Cheers

Wait, you said nothing about any fixes for those cards. Jut normal Skyrim tweaks that everyone does. Not trying to be rude however, any help in anything is great!

There is a problem with crossfire and Skyrim enb in exact too that has nothing to do with your card performance what soever. There are fixes for that here and here. ATI Radeon cards are cheap and strong, so they have good sales, it only normal someone comes up with a fix later on. Google about it, there is a fix and two!

Absolutely nonsense. I have a R9 290 and I don't have any of these issues you listed and I'm using nearly every 4k texture mod that is out there.. With my old AMD (HD 5770) I didn't have 60fps everywhere but I didn't have more CTDs than Nvidia users are reporting about here on the forum. After ENBoost I never had a single crash again on my old card!

What are you talking about? Usual problems, low fps, stuttering? I have an ATi 7880 and don't really experience any of those issues. Sure, maybe If I have 50 npcs on the screen at once chain casting or something, otherwise, my ATI card delivers high performance and solid FPS all around. CTD are related to Skyrim and its coding-not anything ATI has done specifically. And you feel you need xfire to run skyrim smoothly?! Ok.....whatever. I easily get 30-60 on Ultra-everything, +texture replaces, and a number of INI tweaks.

Like noted above, nothing you say has any real bearing 'fixing' supposed any supposed ATI shortcomings. I would have applied most of the tweaks I have regardless of video card. You trolling for Nvidia or something?

I was expecting something life changing but there isn't anything specific in your post ?

Is there a specific issue with AMD cards ? I run a R9 280X with an i5-2500k with 90ish mods and Tamriel Reloaded ENB, Verdant Grass and what not and my game is 100% stable (fingers crossed, at lvl 31)
