Akavir and the Oblivion Crisis

I'm kinda curious...would the continent of Akavir (and other foreign continents like Pyandonea) have been affected by the Daedric Invasion? Seems like Mehrunes Dagon would have wanted ALL of Nirn and not just the continent of Tamriel.

Maybe the daedra did invade those areas but it's just not recorded. Post your thoughts.

Mehrunes Dagon attacked everything only area that really didn’t get effected was Black Marsh as they were over prepared for the conflict, the Hist told the Argonians. The Oblivion gates did come to Black Marsh but the Argonians quickly put a end to Mehrunes Dagon plans. Theres no mention of Akavir but there little information available on really anything of Akavir possible due to it being a very hostile continent, no one really goes there besides the few battles that took place.

Molag Bal did the same thing as Mehrunes Dagon in the 2e trying to pull all of Nirn into his plane of existence and even then theres still no mention of what happened in Akavir. Akavir did get referenced a lot in the game by various npcs just nothing about Molag Bal at the time.

According to every lore account I've read, the Oblivion crisis hit everyone, so it stands to reason that it happened there too. Akavir is one of those things that the developers really need to spend more time with, IMHO.

I was kinda thinking that maybe Dagon only committed his forces on the continent of Tamriel at first, as that region holds the biggest threat ending his invasion because of Martin. After he succeeds in taking over Tamriel then he could've start the siege of Akavir and other continents. If I was him I wouldn't want to stretch my forces out like that.

Maybe I'm wrong though as I've read somewhere that there are almost innumerable daedra hordes. Stretching your forces out in that case wouldn't be a problem.

Same here....everything I've read indicates that the Oblivion crisis affected everyone. It's the reason the Thalmor are as powerful as they are and the Empire is so weak.

The Thalmor and the Empire both come from the same continent: Tamriel. We all know all the provinces were hit, but I'm talking about other continents entirely. Akavir, Pyandonea, maybe Atmora but there isn't really anything worth invading there.
