Knight_by_Night
Ok, I'm not one to usually question this kind of stuff. Some people like certain things that I don't. I accept it and move on with my life. However, I have never been able to understand certain things about some mods for Oblivion. For example, why on earth are there sex mods, hentai mods, and mods devoted to you having a skimpy dressed woman follow you around? Further, why would you do mods that are extremely not lore friendly. I mean, there is some wiggle room for lore I feel, but why do a mod that gives you access to a gun or a sword that looks like it came out of an anime so over the top even Cloud Strife is snickering? It's a bit of a rant, I know, and I'm sure I'm not winning any popularity contest by asking, but I just had to.

Well the female Body replacers are good. I have the HGEC C-Cup nude and many clothes for it. It just gives the game sexapeal. But sexmods are really too much! And I don´t like those anime swords and such a stuff too... But hey here are people who like that stuff so, just let them download. You don´t have to download everything^^ Download what you really like! Nice to see that I´m not the only one who doesn´t like sexmods and fantasy swords and such a thing^^
ladyvailen
I wouldn't let it bother you, people are always going to like different things. I'm not a fan of anime or hentai myself, this is Oblivion not Final Fantasy, but each to their own. I look at the sex mods and hot pixelated chicks (Another thought, why is there hardly any hot guys in this game!?) as a bit of harmless fun, a laugh even. chronosmagus
I prefer everything being somewhat lore friendly and avoid any mods that stick out. Especially equipment or races that make your character look way different from the rest of the world seem silly to me.. or armor so revealing that would actually offer less protection than a robe. Frankly I have no idea why people seem to like such mods that much, but as you said, everyone has their own taste. I imagine there are plenty of players that don't care much for the world of Oblivion on its own, but just want to shape their own world / character (whether it's believable or not). For me the fun is in role playing and such, others might just want to feel powerful or pretty.. and oblivion can provide it all thanks to the ability to mod it! Some of the mods I see here however, adding ridiculous proportions or even sex mods, seem just for immature / frustrated people though. It's always a real search to find stuff on here that actually fits the game.
VictoriaG
Each to their own, it's a single player game so you're not harming anyone else when you put your chosen mods into your game. I personally make screenshots, the actual lore and mechanics of playing the game don't really come into consideration. The fact my characters couldn't possibly lift that sword, or a dress won't offer protection in combat don't bother me in the slightest after all it's a 'fantasy' game so my screens are just that. :)
AlienSlof
Each to their own, it's a single player game so you're not harming anyone else when you put your chosen mods into your game. Quoted for truth. Floydian has the right of it there. Modders make what they want in their game. It's their choice. For example, I play male characters with male companions, so I make male clothing and armour for them. I don't play females, so I don't usually make much for them, unless I just want to dress up NPC's. It really is 'each to their own' in this game. If you don't like something, pass it by without comment and move onto something you DO like. But please, let modders and mod users make and use what they want. It's really not affecting you. I'm going to cast a lock spell on this before it goes the way of every other topic in this vein - flamefest and insults. AS
