Kayanakoe
I miss the clarity of which mods are being installed via pop up window. I really don't care for the queue that displays only 50% of the installations. Half the time, I cant close out because there's "an installation going on" but the queue is empty. It's really my only standing conflict with this update. Edited January 24, 2015 by Kayanakoe
ZodiacDragonStar
um I'd like to make a suggestion currently using 53.2. can you make it so when you either click the make new catergory button on the ui interface or select a single catergory with right click that in addition to make a new catergory which goes into the catergoriesd as new 1, that you add an option to rename the catergory? because I didn't see an option for that in nmm. SkyrimZarden
I like the new activation queue however when you use the uninstall all mods option it doesn't use it
dayzeropunk
Well, after upgrading to the newest version after launching nmm the first time my skyrim crashes every time... When restarting my PC and not running nmm it works? any suggestions? what does nmm do when you launch it the first time in a session?
bben46
NMM is not a part of Skyrim. It does NOTHING to the game when you start Skyrim. It can even be set to turn itself off when starting Skyrim using the start Skyrim function built in.Without a LOOT log - it's hard to tell where your problem may be. But my first guess is some mod that needs SKSE and can't find it.

EnigmaniteK
i'm not sure where to ask, but I guess here will have to do for now.I'm wondering if a version of NMM has these 2 particular options:1) choosing to flag something as installed, when I've manually installed it and added it to the storage folders. In some cases, I refuse to install certain mods via the manager.2) choosing to uninstall something that hasn't been installed with the manager. IE: it goes through the package contents and removes any files from the data folder as applicable, no questions asked. I've been using .45.6 for a while now, but it's started getting on my nerves a bit. Also, noob question: would I be able to disable automatic updates (EDIT: And automatic mod updates)? I think I had before, but I can't remember... Edited January 29, 2015 by EnigmaniteK
bben46
@EnigmaniteK - NMM does not have automatic updates, and never has - It does let you know that a new update is available, but YOU have to actually click to install the update. If you don't, it just doesn't update the program until you do. Why are you using v 0.45? We are up to V 0.53.2 ( and V 0.60.0.2a if you choose to participate in the Alpha test) Also as for automatic mod updates, NMM Does not do that and has has never done that. It does have a feature that allows you to click to check for new mod updates, but has never forced mod updates. The check for new mod updates just flags any mod that has an update to let you know that it is available if you want it. It does not download or install anything. It is done that way on purpose. Are you confusing NMM with Steam & Steam Workshop? Steam does force nearly daily updates to the Steam client, and autoupdate any mods subscribed through the Steam Workshop. #1 - If you don't install through the manager the mod will still show up in the Plugins list, but NOT in the Mods list. Note that some mods cannot be installed through NMM and must be installed manually - they still show up in the plugins list because that is taken from the game plugins folder and not an NMM folder. #2 - How is it supposed to know what was installed if it wasn't installed using the manager? The only thing it can see in that case is what is in the game list that it gets from the game and displays on the plugins list. By manually installing a mod, you bypass the part of the manager that records what was installed. It has no way to know what was installed if it wasn't done through the manager - and if it doesn't have a record of what was installed, it cannot reliably remove it because it doesn't know what to remove.
ZodiacDragonStar
@dayzeropunk um did you have the net framework not installed by any chance. that might be why you are crashing. I think version 50.0 and above require the net framework 4.5.1 and the latest which is 53.2 needs Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.2 check and see if you have any unchecked updates on windows update dam just reread your post I don't know why skyrim is crashing, maybe you don't have the correct masters for some of your mods or like the other poster said it might be a mod looking for skse. sorry if I can't help you. Deleted11793018User
Tried installing .Net 4.5.2 around 5 times now. At the end of the installation it always says something along the lines of "The installation failed due to another program interfering with it". Sigh, I miss the old version of NMM
