JimboUK
Thank you - done that, I am still required to be on line to steam!!! You shouldn't be, Steam should restart in offline mode. As long as the game has been authorised it should work just fine offline.
BooneoftheWasteland
I've had no crashes last night playing for a very long time. I'm a lucky one, but not without some hitches like no npc sounds and only after 2 or 3 reloads can I get it to kick in. I unplug my usb cable to assure that I am playing offline. STEAM is intrusive with the involvement of this game and personally my future in gaming will stop if this becomes the precedent.
BooneoftheWasteland
oh and I am certain that my caravan card gambling is a bust as well.
eludicous
I wouldn't connect online through the usb port. Your computer will have to work harder to handle the internet traffic as well as play the game. My advice is to connect through a network card if you can. That way the network handles the network traffic and not your cpu.
SaijaRii
I can't sell it? I feel scammed. I hate Obsidion. Hate Steam.
RapidFireFighter
Yeah, I'd have to say you either have a very f***ed up copy of New Vegas or a f***ed up PC. 46 hours of play and maybe 3 crashes 2 of which were mod related. My only complaints are that it lagged really bad around large groups of NPC's (which is a very easy fix) and that i couldn't install it till 2 a.m. (f*** you steam!), so other than that this is a great game and well worth the money as long as you have the slightest bit of computer know how you should be able to find a simple fix... except for this guy...he is apparently f***ed. TotallyNotToastyFresh
I have been playing it for the past 3 days non-stop and so far, aside from the occasional glitch, I love it and it is totally worth the 100 AUD.
BackStabbath
You make it sound like these issues you are having are shipped with the game. I am having no issues whatsoever with this, and I like it more the FO3. I would take this vanilla over my FO3 with 100+ mods any day.
LeonardDeVir
It basicaly IS Fallout 3 with like 25 mods integrated. xDOther than that, no crashes, no bugs, no errors, no nothing - and Im not even playing with the patched version. I know that its our right to have plug n' play software, but YOU also have to maintain your PC. It isnt a console, you have to "clean" it, get drivers, adjust the graphics card to yor game, etc...yes, thats YOUR job. If your machine is in tiptop shape, then you may complain about the game being buggy - especially with the errors you have (which really sound like machine related issues). Im sure people here would really like to help, but just flaming over FNV, which is by far superior to Fo3, wont get you on their good side. RaySiilu
i have none of the problems you have, NV has almost 3x the fps and performance Fo3 had. So people go ahead and buy it cuz its awesome  Steam has messed up some peoples games before, so it might you to be one of those people. Before raging here, go check reviews and stuff on sites, the game wouldn't get a score higher than 2 if everything you said would be shipped with the game. Perhaps you are those obsidian haters, which there are tons of who try to bring every game they make down
