LordSn0w
Whenever a new mod manager comes out that's newer than .60a, will the mods carry over when I update? Sorry prob a noob question, but this is the first time I've upgraded my NMM lol.
GabenOurSavior
Great release, and works, apart from some minor issues, very well for me. Even though I normally only use 1 profile, I really appreciate the possibility of having more and the way it is done. That brings me to my first question: are you planning on including Savegames in the profiling ? As NMM is already using hardlinking for mods, I don't think it would be that much of a problem to also hardlink saves. For example, by using a structure like this:- My Games\Skyrim - NMM Profiles - Each Profile gets a Folder here - Saves - Link Savefiles from the current Profile here OR link this Folder to the relevant profile folder It would be great if you could include this in a future version, after mod management is stable, as it would make NMM more like an "all in one" for profiles which only differ by " Data Folder" Mods. Of course, manually moving/renaming the save folders is not a big deal, but it would certainly make things a bit easier and a lot cleaner. Also, I would really like a mechanism to have different instances of installer based mods for different profiles - you could, for example, be asked if you would want to copy the settings (and therefore use the same VirtualInstall Folder) from an already existing Profile, or run the installer again, with the results being saved in another, separate Folder in VirtualInstall. Some mods include Compatibility Patches in their installers, and there could occur some Problems if you need a Patch on one Profile, but not on another. Of course this are only my ideas, and I'm already very happy with the current release - it works great even though it is just an alpha. Keep up the great work, without Nexus and NMM Skyrim (Oblivion, NV, ...) modding wouldn't be what it is ! DuskDweller
In response to post #22106184. There's currently no plan to also manage savegames, but never say never. We're still looking into the possibility of saving scripted installer choices, but there's no ETA (I'm not even 100% sure we can do that). ZjemTwojegoKota
For advanced users or maybe not.If someone would like to determine which files in Skyrim folder are hardlinked you can install this tool http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html. This tool is not made by me but I tested it already and works perfectly. This is shell extension for Windows explorer, which will add red arrow shortcut (overlay icon) for all hardlinks, green arrow for symlinks. For me it's usefull, maybe someone will take advantage of it too.

eddieeddieeddie
I was wondering if you can use texture optimizer and/or SMCO with profiles?

kitsunelegend
As cool as this is... I must ask something that no one else seems to be asking... Did you guys change the nexus site as well? For some reason I no longer get comment notifications on files that I've tracked... like, when someone leaves a comment on a file I've tracked, normally it lets me know via that top little widget thing... I no longer seem to get that, and on top of that, the way the pop up looks had changed... I honestly really liked the old way better... or if there is a way to change it back, I'd be very greatful...
