Impossible Mods

OK, I wanted to see if anyone else wanted to discuss mods previously deemed impossible. Mods that may actually BE impossible. Since I have no specific game in mind I decided to put it here.

For starters, I have the most frequently asked for mod that is impossible by engine limitations: Dual wielding guns in Fallout. Here is my crazy solution, that would probably never work, and is actually the MOST probable I have come up with:

OK, as I have seen suggested before, a weird prosthetic hand holding the second gun that is a part of the weapon's model. That solves the animation problem.

Now the fire node problem.

What about a funky projectile that appears to be two bullets on parallel courses?

So, nitpick, scream out genius, or add your own completely impossible problem or solution. Don't even take into account the massive amount of work or computer power required. Just throw random stuff.

Also, please don't lock this thread as another "OMG I WANS DULE WILDINGG" I am being absolutely serious in that I am sure there are a thousand reasons why it will not work. Also, I figure there are more completely impossible mods that it would be fun to throw roundabout and impractical solutions at. I think it could get fun. And besides, never know, something might get done.

And I will in no way be offended if this whole thread gets laughed off the map. It was worth a try.

Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas/TES V multiplayer.

People keep asking, it never happens. It's near impossible and many modders aren't even interested in the whole thing in the first place. :P

What about OblivionOnline?

I don't know, but it's probably unfinished, buggy and limited. :P

No offense to them, but I just don't think it's feasible. Would be nice if they could prove me wrong, but it would not be the first attempt at an online mod for a TES game that failed in the end.

Most likely the only way to get most of these impossible mods done, in some sense, would be to start again with a better engine and make an improved copy. It would look much the same but would be bigger, more complicated etc. Except who would do it and why would they?

Also, would Bethesda do it or allow anybody else to do it? I have doubts.

Yet I think that there is plenty that can be done that has not been done or at least I have not heard of it.

Impossible mods for Oblivion?

horse drawn wagons, carts and cabs even if most are not usable

proper meals at tables

big battle scenes etc in the distance, giving a sense of more life, that a player character can not get any closer to

ability to construct clay, metal or other golems as robotic like servants

non undead or daedriic entities to summon by mages to make it clear they are not alligned either to daedric followers or necromancers

proper reflecting mirrors that do not show vampires

usable objects that are not tools such as shovels that actually dig holes, paint brushes that produce paintings, cooking pots that produce foods

etc.

all this and more modded and implemented in a way that leads to no clashes or other problems

I do not believe there is a way to dynamically alter terrain in-game, so for the shovel maybe a container called "hole" that is placed on the player upon using the shovel?

New summons not a problem I think, so I don't see why it was put in the list.

Constructing golems, put necessary ingredients in container (like black soul gem thing) cast spell, game removes items from existence, golem is spawned.

Unfortunatly, I believe the Oblivion engine is incapable of doing true reflections.

Unfortunately true, that last bit, but they claim to have decent betas. I'd try it out myself, except... Well, I really don't have a good reason to have not tried it yet http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.gif
