Mr Lepidus
Yeah, but the spartans didn't have lasers. Yeah they do. :whistling: ;) Halo rejects don't count. :P Well, this has gotten off track. To have the last word: there was a Romano-Spartan War, and it resulted in the Lacedaemonian League's dissolution and a permanent Roman foothold in Greece, that soon led to the Roman conquest of all Greece. Anyhow, do we have anybody here who can make Lorica Hamata meshes and Roman tunic meshes. If at all possible, I'd prefer Legionaries looking like Caesar's troops from HBO's Rome... Lord Jefferson
I was also disappointed with Caesar's legion armour, so I'll second this request.
LordNanfoodle
The argument that Caesar could craft realistic Roman armor is valid. If the Romans could do with low-tech forges, why not post-apocalyptic slavers with access to some still-functioning machining and foundry tech? A mod like this could also up the DT on the armor of the higher-ups. It felt like once you hit Level 10, most Legion scum was far too easy to wax, and maybe walking around in sporting gear may be to blame for not stopping my flaming .308 justice, but that is an argument of a different nature. Far, far too many Legionaires in old football gear contracted the mysterious "exploding head" disease in the past month. Maybe donating more realistic (and metal) armor can prevent the spread of this foul contagion. Won't you help save the Legion?
Lord Jefferson
Would you add an 'aquilifier' carrying the standard of the legion, wearing a lion pelt liberated from a museum? ( or even better a deathclaw hide)
TobiTobsen89
PS: I'm flattered that somebody else bumped up this thread! You're welcome. As a history student I can't stand this excuse for a roman armor  And like Lord Nanfoodle already said: why shouldn't Caesar be able to produce something more accurate? Another student of history! Excellent! Also, I'd imagine that they kept the football gear motif because that was what they had planned in Van Buren. Sometimes, staying true to the past shouldn't be the most important thing...
