You start macro - looking at the sky - and then go into a more micro stance by giving us a glance at a tree and conclusively the grave. "Astral plane" is particularly nice. I personally prefer the second part over the first. Your first part is good but it comes off as a bit abstract to me, and is not nearly as powerful as the second. The second one, in contrast, is more concrete and I can see it well, plus that transition. Perhaps the polarization for earth and sky is the reason behind your thinking here? Maybe.
