Bad Pipboy Texture?

Hey guys,ok so let me start off by saying this was happening before I installed any mods or the d3d9.dll fix.The texture of my pipboy looks like crap,looks exactly like this http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/967/falloutnv20101027105211.png I run the game with high settings at 1680x1050. The rest of the game looks awesome and runs good,just the pipboy looks like crap. I have searched high and low all over the internet and could only find 1 forum about someone having the same problem, but it got locked for some reason, Here are the specs of my computer that should be able to run this game no problem.Any help would be gladly appreciated.Thanks.

i though the pip boy texture was pretty bad to begin with but not that bad you definately got some issue going on like the game is not loading a texture, dunno what to do other than maybe try some of the pip boy custom skin mods and see if you can get any better results with those.

Yea, I have no clue whats going on,I've already tried a custom pipboy skin and it looks like crap too,would really like to figure out why its doing this,it doesn't really affect the game play,its just annoying as hell

hmm maybe try the additem code for the pimpboy 3 billion then visiting mick and ralphs to swap the pipboy, the additmem code just gives you it but you need to talk to them to swap the thing onto your arm and see if you get any better results?

might be worth a shot just to see then you could try swapping back n forth see if by some miracle that fixes your issue.

yea i was just gonna wait until i get the pipboy 3 billion to see if it fixes the problem,I figure this might be some sort of rendering issue

i have the same problem on my pipboy like you.I posted this yesterday but nobody answer me.

 

What catalyst installed on your pc?I have 10.10 version

 

i tried with different resolution ( i'm playing in 1080p) , different settings , reinstalling the game twice......still the pipboy looks like ass!!!

 

i'm wondering where the issue come from.....?

 

DirectX issue?Catalyst issue?Game issue?

 

i have a friend who have FNV on his PC , with an older PC rig than mine , his pipboy looks better even if he play in normal settings.

the issue comes from the CATALYST!!!!!

 

i' ve downgrade from 10.10 to 10.8 and it worked fine for me! Try mitchcook and reply if it worked for you because we have both an ATI video card.

I find that to be funny. I have 10.10 installed and I don't get any texture problems.

Had the same issue. Set your mipmap (in the ATI options) to the highest setting.

i found this on the net: "Mipmaps are variations of one and the same texture available in various sizes" so you 're right men i checked my CCC setting and played with different mipmap level.

 

When mipmap set in" high performance ", pipboy looks ass , even if i play with 10.8 catalyst. And if i set it to" quality" pipboy OK.

 

So you right chervey.how did you find that???the mipmap problem?
