Frontsalat
I always play the same character as the topic starter assumed...an alternative version of myself in a fictional reality. I have a girlfriend, so starring a boobs sometimes is usual. I still use the BB breast mods though... :whistling:
gandalftw
I play as a female for the eye candy, yes pixelized females are nice to look at if they aren't for you,i don't care why should you? Life is to short for me to concern myself with the choices of others unless those choices directly effect me,get over it bro, there are far too many more important issues. magnanimousmudd
I always play male first (did this with the Mass Effect Series, and did it in Fallout 3) as a good/paragon character, and after my first playthrough make a female character which I use as a bad/renegade character and experiment with the more negative choices in the game. Edit: no, there isn't an underlying reason for this lol. I don't think all females are evil, etc. Its just how it happens since naturally being a (non-pervert? lol) male, I would want my first avatar to be a male. Mr Lepidus
I have never created a female character for any Fallout game, from 1 to New Vegas. I usually make male characters that resemble myself to some extent, though other times I role-play. For example, my white-haired old man character looked exactly like Bill from Left 4 Dead with the First Recon Beret, so I had him wear that for (literally) the entire game. I generally like to make a character whom I can impose myself onto to increase the game's immersion factor, but I don't see any problem with creating female characters. I just responded to a somewhat similar threat about the Nude Patch, and my philosophy here is the same: How you play the game is your personal choice, and doesn't affect me at all. Therefore, I will not criticize your choices, so long as you do not criticize mine. Sometimes, though, playing as a female character can be a good experience simply because there are some discrepancies in the dialogue between genders. GhanimaAtreides
I thought the point of an RPG is to create an alternative version of yourself and bring life to that character in a fictional setting Well, yes, that may be one approach but I wouldn't say it's the only point of an RPG. My current character is female but the idea wasn't to match my own gender or for her to resemble me in any way; instead what I had in mind was to recreate a character from my writing/imagination as closely as possible and introduce her to the Fallout setting. A future playthrough will very likely involve a guy, someone I believe would suit a ruthless, self-centered character. Plus, I'm curious what differences there are between genders as far as gameplay goes.
