pirating is a big no-no her, and at the bethsoft forums as well. :/

I am not seeing where he says he pirated it, he was correcting the people that said NVSE doesn't work with "non-steam" versions which is apparently inaccurate. I have even emailed the NVSE team to ask them about using decrypted exes so I could use the 4gb version and what they said seems to work just fine. I don't see why you think it's right to start banning people for setting the record straight on it.

The current version doesn't work for me at all. No errors, no crashes, it just doesn't work. Running "GetNVSEVersion" returns "no such script command" (exact wording escapes me, same message you'd get just typing gibberish).

I've followed the very letter of the install instructions about 10 times, re-downloaded the latest (beta 5), verified the game's version matches the one in the readme. The NVSE log file confirms the version is correct. I've tried running from Steam normally, and running from the included exe. Again, no errors, but no NVSE.

Game version: 1.2.0.285 (Steam)

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Mods: a bunch of ESPs, nothing that goes outside of the Data directory (like the 4 GB hack)

Not sure what else to provide. Is there some way to get verbose output from NVSE if it fails to start?

Note: this computer has had no trouble running OBSE or similar extensions.

I'll add a second to this problem also. same specs as above.

installed NVSE as a requirement for Readius_NV mod. The executable runs, launches NV but I get an error from Readius saying that

it requires NVSE. a getNVSEVersion returns an error unknown script command.

Works fine (I guess).

just dumped the files into the fallout main directory, made a shortcut of the nvse loader to the desktop and I launch it that way...it brings up the main loader and I hit play...no problems (and I got tons of mods)...

so...great...we got the script extender...erm, why isn't it listed on the fonv nexus btw? modders would like to know that so the brilliance can start up

I don't know if anyone can help but I can't find anyone having the same problem I am. I just have the regular Steam version with no 4GB hack or anything, I have the Steam community in-game enabled but no matter what I do whenever I try to use NVSE it loads the game fine but once the game is running it's now unplayably slow. I'm talking 1-4 fps here  . I haven't even activated any mods that use NVSE yet as I wanted to enure it was working first but guess not. Any ideas?

Windows 7 64-Bit and I followed all the instructions to the letter. If I delete all the files related to NVSE the game runs fine again. Can't think of anything in my load order causing problems but maybe there is?

I am using the latest version of the steam game, and just updated to the latest steam. I kept getting a message saying to update to the latest NVSE, and it is from the Readius mod. other mods I use that require NVSE don't give me a problem at all, and I can play with them fine. I played with the readius mod perfectly fine before I updated. Are you going to release previous versions or new ones any time soon?

Someone help a noob like me - i looked at it and it adds loads of parameters you can use like "who has currently equipped which gun" and such but i lack the phantasy to imagine anything good to be done with it. Can someone sum up the "Killer features" or "awesome possibilities" with this? I am aware it was very popular for FO3, i just lack a few examples to properly estimate the possibilities this opens up.

NVSE request:

GetName (well, we have SetName, GetName should not be hard)

string variables - from quick look at NVSE source they seem to be "implemented" (yeah but missing serialization). why not allow at least temporary string variables ? (inside blocks)

awesome would be GetFirstRef / GetNextRef with possibility to iterate over all references of specified type (consumables, books etc...)

or

skeleton plugin ? (I'm really missing time to dig deep into NVSE sources)

why ?

I guess everyone knows about Item sorter plugin. it's all great and nice, however it's lacking one thing - configuration & localization. (I do play in czech...)

last but not least, keep the great work guys.

Mhmmm and what did they tell you to do??

Because setting parameters doesnt work for me....game will start, but it wont load nvse. I did it another, by renaming the FalloutNV.4gb to an exe and nvse will load but if i do so, the hooks are missing (tickcount and so on). I can start the fnv4gb.exe after loading the game though, but im not sure if the hooks are loaded this way too.

And only setting the >2gb flag isnt all it does. That can be done in other ways too ;P

I didnt find anything scanning this thread

Edit: I dont know if its working as i said, thats because i dont really have stuttering, just use it in case of a hd texture install and if my mod list gets to exceed 2gb^^

Would be interested in knowing if that works, but actually i dont think so, as the hooks are normally injected before starting....
