Just WHO does it?!?!

I have always thought that Beth caved to the kiddies on having all of the dark places actually illuminated, It really negates the usefulness of light spells & torches.

One of my favorite mods in Oblivion was The Dungeons of Ivellon. It's dark in there - just as a dungeon should be. It had no automatic light sources of its own. You really did need a torch in there. But you could also light any of the many lanterns and torches that were around. I would throw a fireball at any shadowy area to see what was there, and several times that fireball hit a lantern and lit it. That was a fantastic feeling when I learned I could turn on a lantern, even one way up on an arched ceiling using the basic fireball spell you start the game with. It actually made low level magic useful. Several times I lost my torch ( drop it to fight and it rolled into a pit or fell down a flight of stairs) and was fighting things I couldn't see except for their glowing eyes.

In my opinion, Ivellon was the best dungeon mod for Oblivion. From having to find it to the way it was implemented, to the atmosphere, it was a great success.

That"s easy , if u managed to find find a book called "within the draugr" or "within the Draugr" ( something like that i don't remember exactly what its called anymore) its written by a mage that Trying to understand Draugr , the books says that they pray and Clean the Dungeon frequently . so i bet they light the torches and candles .

That makes sense, but they are sleeping on the job!

I always assumed it was the draugr themselves. They've been tasked with guarding the secrets of the dragon cult even after their death. That's why they were entombed there in the first place. It makes sense that with the return of the dragons and dragon priests, their servants would have begun preparing their worship sites for continued use.

That's something I didn't know, it actually makes sense now.

Now all we have to do is explain why the guards in skyrim don't care about the dead body you're standing over and would much rather talk about arrows to knees.

They just don't get paid enough to care. But they get very upset when they receive news about Dragonborn crimes from their informer/witness - The Chicken.

PS: All you guys will talk about your personal arrow to the knee at some point. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:What_%22Arrow_To_The_Knee%22_Really_Means.

Since that got solved, there's more urgent matter. Can anyone explain who does supply all the containers in dungeons and catcombs with FRESH CABBAGES?!!

These are not Fresh cabbages. They were fresh when the tombs were sealed Eras ago. The foul magic that permeates these halls has kept those cabbages in the same state of un-life and un-death as the draugrs. They are, in essence, malevolent and devoid of any alimentals. Beware of them, for they will trick you into thinking you're eating something healthy, when in reality they're about as nutritive as a sheet of paper. Grave robbers who lost their way in those large catacombs often succumb to malnutrition before the draugr get to them, as they do not bother to bring along sufficient rations and in their desperation turn to eating the cabbages.
