Mookeylama Posted February 20, 2015 Share Posted February 20, 2015 i always thought the Vigilant of Stendarr mini-quest thing went to fast too. i've never actually succeeded in getting up there to the hall before it's destroyed at lvl 10. that seems to early. i imagine when the game had a level 50 cap it made more sense.in fact, the whole Vigilant thing could use a overhaul. even w/ just vanilla, i meet waaay more vigilants than could live in that tiny "hall" (many npc's house's are bigger lol). and w/ mods adding npcs, i see tons of vigilants all the time. tons after the hall is destroyed, and i can't say anything about the hall?!be nice to have a small overhaul. larger house built back into that mountain, so the destroyed event would still play ok. dialog for telling wandering vigilants, and maybe have them say "NOOOOOo" and run off lol. and not get destroyed at lvl 10. maybe 20+. I thought about some vigilants from bordering regions to come help the Skyrim's hall to deal with it's destruction and rebuild a new vigilant of stendarr's monastery, with new more elegant armours, based on the Dragon's Dogma Mystic Knight iconic armour Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mookeylama Posted February 21, 2015 Author Share Posted February 21, 2015 ooh, yeah. all that sounds good. but hell, i'd be happy w/ something really simple. like i said, the Hall could be extended back into the mountain, w/ a clever use of some sorta architectural facade. stone, wood, dwemer. make it seem like the Vigilants built their wooden part into an existing ruin in the mountain. that way the fire destroyed event could work fine. but i think my biggest desire, would be just to have less vigilants out on the road after the hall gets whacked, and to be able to have a line or 2 of dialog to tell them about it if i see one wandering Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Unfortunately I'm well away from being able to mod them the way I'd like as I am new to modding in general.That said, I would personally like to see some depth added to them even if they do just end up dying. Would like to see the hall expanded, though nothing unreasonable or on the scale of the Dawnguard fort (to start with). I'd also like to see them in possession of the gauntlets of the crusader or the the priest of Stendarr who joined the KotK to be hiding out in a dungeon (below Stendarr's beacon) guarding them...having gone crazy perhaps? Either thinking he sees the ghost of the divine crusader he knew who we know is Sheogorath (perhaps Sheo is even messing with him) or the ghost of the knight who held the gauntlets before even the events of Oblivion (whether he sees either could be up for question).As well as some back story in general. In my mind if the Altmer priest from Oblivion was still alive and had fled the Imperial City during the Great War to protect one of the crusader relics...maybe he is the one who restarts the Vigilants after they are destroyed. Or that fellow who's name I forget who is a member of the Dawnguard but left the Vigilants to join the Dawnguard and then left the Dawnguard. Perhaps after the completion of Dawnguard he restarts the Vigilants.Given their goals as well, I was always surprised that the VoS are3 never found near or reported having gone to a deadra shrine and killing everyone or destroying it.
