Big patch "in testing", small PC patch soon

A big patch is being submitted to testing and certification and stuff, according to the Bethesda Blog. It won't be deployed for a few weeks yet, but it should *hopefully* improve things.

In the mean time, a smaller patch for the PC version will be released (via Steam) that should fix save file corruption (read: allow Valve to turn on Steam Cloud again), Havok physics issues and improve people who recent Nvidia drivers.

I love how they're quick to blame Havok when we all know that Havok is just the physics engine. Yeah, Havok's really to blame for all the rendering issues? For all the bug-filled AI? For the crashing and freezing? For all the audio and video stuttering? Those are all the responsibility of Gamebryo, but apparently they're under contract or something to never criticize it.

Their broken down version of Gamebryo, lord knows what they've done to it but the engine works fine in other games. I'm playing Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga at the moment, that uses the same engine but has none of the issues Bethesdas games do.

And it has animations! :) I actually can see my character running diagonally. And characters are lively when talking.

The less said about Bethesdas animations the better, games in the 90's used mocap yet Bethesda still stick to their poorly animated robots. Just look at the jump animation in Morrowind, Oblivion and FO3, the character leaves the ground and freezes until they land again.
