TransnerferN7
Just realised that JK's skyrim is an fps killer, 24fps in certain places with a gtx 970 4gb in nearly all towns and cities! Sure they look great, but I dont feel its worth it. I want to uninstall it, but everyone says that uninstalling mods is bad, so is there anyway to safely uninstall it without starting a new game (starting a new game I will do as last resort). Same applies to realvision, I wanted to switch to the performance version as fps did drop in forest areas for example. Is there any way to safely uninstall realvision without starting a new game? Thanks.

jdblake508
Since jk skyrim adds new textures if you uninstall the mod you are probably going to have a lot of crashes when you go into those areas. I think unfortunately the only thing you can do is start a new character.
Algabar
There is no "safe" way to uninstall mods during a playthrough. Data from mods gets baked into your save game and stay there. There are ofc save game cleaners, but they will remove mostly scripts - which won't help much in this case since JK claims that his mods are script-free anyway. What you can try: Save your game in an indoor location far away from any city affected by JKs mod (maybe some forgotten cave at the end of the world...). Uninstall JKs Skyrim. Reload. If you're lucky, you're save game might be still usable. It's risky though - especially since we're talking about such a large mod. BTW, textures should be the least problem. The game should simply load the default textures instead (or other textures you installed previously). What could make you crash are changes to terrain, navmeshes, NPCs... twiztedmongoloid
ENB can be switched no problem. Mods with ESPs are a no no. esps are permanently baked into your save and removing them can potentially corrupt your save and or make your game unstable. Textures without esps can also be swapped out no problem. City mods like expansions and mods like JK are typically FPS killers particularly when combined with many other performance hungry graphical enhancements.
