Arena + Gray Prince Origin without murder possible ?

Hello :)

I have finished the "Origin of the Gray Prince" quest and I 'm about to challenge Agronak

for the Grand Champion title ...

Then I read on UESP that fighting "suicidal/non-aggressive" Agronak will automatically count as murder (even if no bounty)

and trigger the Dark brotherhood questline , which I really don't wanna start yet .

What are my options here ? Is there any way to make Agronak attack me first ?

Or is murdering him inevitable ?

Thankies ;)

What it means by "Triggering DB questline" is that you will be

visited in your sleep by lucien lachance and

given a quest which you're not obliged to complete and has no affects on any other game events

Hey :)

Lol ... I challenged Agronak .. he gave me one hit and started his dialog .

I killed him & finished the whole Arena questline ... No murder in my stats :)

I leveled up after that , slept , and no Lucien Lachance visiting me ...

Exactly what I wanted :D

Dunno if it's the UOP that solves it , or if UESP page is out of date (not mentioning that this bug was solved),

but meh happeh ;)

Solved .

The UOP does solve that. But that was one of the best ways you could get into the Dark Brotherhood legally.

If I recall correctly, the only real reward for that quest aside from some dungeon loot was some skill points from Agronak. But yeah, that "murder" the game records has no real significance because it's not fined or treated like a murder by the actual in game NPC's. The only reason to avoid it is if you're roleplaying a "good" character, and even then, it's not even a real murder.
