Deleted1217574User
Is there a way to add in a static corpse, for a necromancy or DB mod or something? I tried creating an NPC with 0 hp, but it's impossible to really position. I know you can come across "dead" skeletons, how do you do this with corpses? Jagermh
I think skeletons are actualy containers but you should look into how bethesda does it in these instances: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Dead_Scholarhttp://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Dead_Captivehttp://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Dead_Captain Good luck
ub3rman123
There are no corpse containers like there were in Morrowind, possibly with the exception of the Cloud Top corpse. All corpses you find in game are simply actors with their HP set to zero. Once you've set that, the game will read it as dead and will let the corpse fall when Havok Sim is enabled. Deleted1217574User
So then it's impossible to position them? Is it possible to force-rotate them in the CS, so that you can at least have some control? Otherwise, they seem to jump in the air when you load a cell with a "dead" NPC in it, which messes up the placement.
Semtex
Maybe this could be done in another way: - Significantly reduce the animation, which character may be used, - by setting AI and appropriate "temporary" objects force the correct position of the character (such as sleeping, sitting)- the character after a few seconds "kill" by using script commands, and then delete the temporary object (eg bed) If it worked as I assume the character should die in the last position it took. Functioning of Havok physics can change last position not much.

This will cause the actor to collapse. Once that's done, you can move and position the various body parts by clicking on them while holding the Ctrl & Alt keys. It takes some getting used to, but it works. Note: the CS will not save anything while the HavokSim Button is pressed. You must position the actor as desired, deactivate the HavokSim button and then save.
Deleted1217574User
Thanks, I'll try it! And it will actually save the Havoked items in those positions, it's not just a demo sort of thing?
GreatLucifer
Yes it will. But you can unfortunately not copy them in that position. Whether you copy or ctrl-d it, it'll snap back to standing pos. Lucifer
Deleted1217574User
Alright, well that's all I need, simply 'cause I'm shooting for some... "Tastefully" placed corpses.
