lofgren
In order to make a slow effect work you need to make the NPC change what they have equipped and/or change their encumbrance. I do this by adding an invisible one lb. weight to their inventory for the duration of the effect.
Kerberus14
I've done that too lofgren, I know all the possible workarounds and "fixes", none of them work 100% of the time, go look at perma too, the spells in perma that supposedly slow do not work either. JessyG87
Hi Kerberus14! At first I want to say a big "Thank you!" to you for your willingness to make some mod requests of players, with low level of modding knowledge or not much time, become reality. I'm one of those guys. That is also the reason I'm writing this to you in your thread. I have a request to you, since my last request thread on this was without any response: I would love to have a combat music replacer for the final vampire boss fight in the Dawnguard DLC. To be precise, I want this theme to play. In the past I was able to do simple music replacers for my own myself, but now I'm simply not able to locate the exact music file/s anywhere in the DLC .esm. So I would really appreciate, if you could lend me your helping hand on this one. With best regards!
lofgren
Well it works for me. Do you put in a delay so you can be sure that the encumbrance recalculation is happening after the movement speed effect is added? I usually use a delay of 1/10 sec. Kerberus14
@JessyG87, I had problems with that too, I'll look into it and get back to you when I've found the solution to poverty and hunger. @logfren, yes I have, I had tried, there is a posibility that it bugged out because I was running Skyrim at above 60FPS, I haven't tried limiting it and doing it again(afraid it might have been an engine bug or the sort), but nothing worked, I asked t3nd0 about it too and I tried his perma as well and his slowing spells didn't work for me either. lofgren
Whelp, I'm tapped out of ideas.
Deebz96
I have an idea for a quick mod that nobody seems to have done yet. While in the first person view, the lightning storm master spell animation is bugged. The animation after it charges is a bit too slow, which results in the spell firing off before the animation finishes. I've been trying to fix this myself, but have had no luck. Should be a simple task though.Basically, I just want that animation to be sped up a little to match what is actually happening. An example is here: EDIT: Nevermind, did it myself.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T8cr_XudkQ Edited March 10, 2015 by dummiesboy
ravelen
Here is something I tried doing but couldn't really figure out; How to make a blink spell, that the NPC will use. This is for a boss encounter in the mod and the boss -- can be anywhere. So the boss NPC will, on occasion, vanish into shadows and reappear behind the player. AnarchicQ
I made a post (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2886674-reset-or-refresh-npc-inventory/ ) basically asking if, when an NPC buys something from me, if the object can vanish, to cut down on save bloat. This mod, for example http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61028/? makes things you sell "Go into oblivion", I would like that for the Your Market Stall mod or similar mods. Thank you! Edsh0t
Refreshing to see this type of thread. It shows that knowledgeable modders are actually looking for ideas from the rest of us. Thank you.Now on to the idea, since you don't do modelling, you could do the enchantment part of my Blades of Arkay request, allow me to copy it here: Dawnguard adds sun damage to some special weapons, that deals heavy damage to undead and nothing else. I was thinking what about the reverse? Darkness/shadow damage that deals heavy damage to living targets only.As such this request/idea is two fold: A pair of enchantments, and if possible a pair of custom swords. (I'm fine with just the enchantment, just would be cool to have the swords) The whole idea is based around the idea of a Warrior of Arkay, that roams the land to kill the undead and necromancers in the name of Arkay, thus bringing balance to life and death.Enchantments:Blessing/Light of Arkay: Deals x (twice as much as the fire or ice enchantment) points of sun damage to undead (and undead only) and soultraps them (as to purify their souls). Wrath/Darkness of Arkay : Deals x (twice as much as fire or ice enchantment) points of dark damage to living targets (no undead nor machines) and absorbs some health (Arkay robbing their life as punishment). The second part of the request are the blades themselves. I imagine them being similar to similar to CuteUnit's Burning Eye of Meridia and Ebonmourne, the blade of one being made of light and the blade of another being made of darkness. They would be craftable from the beginning, and have a recepy for each tier requiring the previous version, as to upgrade them (losing tempering in the process) Since you don't do modeling you can just ignore the blades part, unless you use the actual models from CuteUnit, which she allows as long as she is mentioned ( Its in the description of the mods after all.)
