Skyrim random ctd no warnings

Hi,

This have been bugging me lately, my Skyrim keep ctd every few minutes or so, with no warnings. I'm guessing it's a mod conflict but I can't find out what, or why would they conflict. :/

I do use LOOT for my load order.

How many mods do you have? The mod cap is 255 but it's really unsafe to even try running 100 mods. If there is a conflict them a papyrus log will help with that

Skyrim CTDs are due to the wrong load

order of mods 90% of the time. Download BOSS or LOOT and get them to sort your load order whenever you install a new mod. Here's an informatove video on load order.

There are numbers of reasons for CTD of the random type...modding a running save for example can lead to orphaned references and or scripts (See Save Tool on Nexus); could be your temps...monitor them during play, anything above 95C needs to be look after; remove any papyrus edits or revert to default; you can tracelog for an idea of what your papyrus is going through.

 

If this post thread is an effort to save a savegame...good luck. There are many mods that bake data into the save, which means it cannot be removed without borking the save completely.

 

If you just want a clean load...start a new game, do some stuff then just save and close out. Then find your saves folder, near it will be a logs folder for SKSE...inside there are logs. Copy paste those to a spoiler, that might tell someone what's going. A new save because it tells what your load order is doing. Fix load first, then the save.

 

With luck, you can find out what issues with load order are, then possibly use Save Tool to fix your save.

MotoSxorpio is very correct. It also does depend on how long you've been using the save too and how many mods have been introduced to it. It's always a good idea to question yourself on if you want a mod or not. First, we'll see what the papyrus log says before we truly deem the save as trashed though. That way we can hold on to some hope that your game can be redeemed
