majikmonkee
In addition to being an Oblivion fan (and a fan of Battlespire when it was all I knew), I was also a long time Everquest II player, and devoted about 5 years to that game. One of the things I always looked for in that game was the "epic mobs", larger or more powerful creatures that basically required me to bring companions and healing items if I hoped to survive. Vanilla Oblivion seemed to shy away from these sort of epic encounters, in fact, the entire game is solo friendly in its natural state. Are there any mods out there though that add really huge or powerful creatures to defeat as the main focus of the quest? I came across a dragon mod that used the Akatosh mount as a model, but it sounded like it was fairly buggy so I didn't download it. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions though for mods that have any EPIC or BIG creatures I can attempt to take down. Here's a somewhat unrelated bonus question...is there such a thing as a companion who consistently uses their skills to heal the player if needed? I did a little research but came up empty. ub3rman123
THere's not many giant creatures in the game because of the way its skeletons are coded. If you scale up a creature too much, then its hitbox will be messed up, leading to the monster in question possibly being unable to be hit. majikmonkee
Yeah not to mention the loss in quality of the texture the more you stretch things out. Lost Spires had a pretty memorable giant monster encounter. Doh...hit enter by mistake. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at these.
