CloudDragon
Hi, looking at my download/rating history I recognize more and more ‚gaps‘. There where should be a modname it only reads ‘none’. The date and the endorsement-thumbs are still there. Furthermore I always use the entry for the website with FOMM and ‘visit the website’ often results in the following error: ‘Site errorThe site has run in to a problem, please look at the error message below...No file exists for this ID.’ So: do these files/mods vanish by technical error or are they removed by will? In any case I suggest to make some kind of notification to the webpage rather to just delete it. Also a notification in the download/rating history would be very appreciated. Much better than ‘none’ would be: - Removed by author- Mod banned because of violation of…. etc. Thanks and greetings
WastelandAssassin
the No file exists for this ID is indeed a report for a removed mod, which would explain the 'none' entry in the Download\Rating History (i have never seen this, but i don't think i have downloaded a mod that was removed shortly after) i have actually noticed another problem with the same sectionit appears that there were mods for New Vegas back in 1969!! Pushkatu
Or it is posible that certain mods have been set as "hidden" by the authors of the files or by the moderators if they want to "take a closer look at those mods".
WastelandAssassin
Or it is posible that certain mods have been set as "hidden" by the authors of the files or by the moderators if they want to "take a closer look at those mods". really??because when you try to access a hidden mod, the message says that it is hidden, not non existing but i don't know how a hidden mod appears in the download\rating history page, so it is possible that you are correct
Pushkatu
Now that you mention it, you might be right. I can't remember for sure. I know that when you try to acces a link to a file that has been set as hidden you get the message you mentioned, but when you try to acces one of the mods in your download history page that was also set as hidden then I can't remember exactly if it tells you what you said or if you get that no ID message.
CloudDragon
Here are two mods as an example: I recognized that Kendo was very upset about another modauthor who has stolen some of his stuff. I cannot find that mod neither. Maybe removing his stuff from the Nexus was some kind of consequence. Searching for Kendo gives no results.: Kendo's Custom Meshes/Texture for Type 3 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/includes/error.php?pop=0&report=0&error=file_exist&page=www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37968 This one was under the top50 mods: xCALIBRuniverse Impulse Purchase DLC http://www.newvegasnexus.com/includes/error.php?pop=0&report=0&error=file_exist&page=www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35160 btw: A have not had the issue with the date by now. WastelandAssassin
these mods have been removed, not set as hiddenso if you downloaded them, than it makes sense that you will see no name, or a message such as 'none' as the name in the downloading\rating history
JimboUK
I'm pretty sure they've been deleted, my history has several gaps like that. I'm more careful with what I download now, those gaps make my history page look very untidy.

Speaking for myself, I didn't delete my New Vegas uploads due to another Nexus member boosting my content. New Vegas has been out about a month and in that time I've had about ten instances of New Vegas 'modders' taking my FO3 content and uploading it with out asking me. At this stage I'm accustomed to it. I removed my NV content due to trolling and flaming in my upload endorsement threads and the general attitude of the New Vegas members that posted in thread of the person who used my content without permission. The guy took my work and the posters SUPPORTED HIM for doing so. I have reason to believe that explains a lot of dead spaces in people's download histories. Modders upload content, they are abused by a hand full of miserable and un happy people, the rest of the community remains silent, not using the report button but watching the thread like it is a traffic accident. The uploader removes the files. Maybe a filter can be made to remove the addresses with no content? But that sounds like a chore.

The uploader removes the files. Normally it's modders get abused by a few folks, a big flame war occurs, no moderators are called in, the modders get tired that a psychic moderator hasn't come and then doesn't understand when everyone gets told off for flaming without calling a moderator in the first place. Someone trolls you? You don't start responding to them, you report them and move on. It's so easy and yet so hard (apparently).
