OpenWorldAddict
I had a quest idea awhile back to save or rescue a unique horse that I posted in this forum.http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2568769-mod-request-quest-to-saverescue-unique-horse/&do=findComment&comment=22533654 In that post i mentioned three quest ideas, each idea approaching the subject in a different direction. Here it is again for clarity sake: 1. A stable master asks you to find a missing horse that was part of a caravan traveling to the city. One horse ran to the stables and seems like it has seen it's share of combat, and the other horse has not returned. You head out and find a site where the caravan had been ambushed by bandits or forsworn. After fighting your way through the nearby bandit (or forsworn) encampment or lair, you find the horse but you have to use a calm spell or the kyne's peace shout in order to calm it down enough to ride it. When you return to the stable master, he offers the horse to you for half price. 2. While exploring the world you come across a horse standing in front a cave. You enter the cave to find it full of vampires. On one of the bodies you learn about one of the vampires actually being a former treasure hunter, and having come to this cave looking for rumored treasure (obvious he was turned before he could find it.) In the note it says that if he perishes, the one who found his corpse will have ownership of the horse. When you emerge from the cave however, you find it being nabbed by a thief who gets on and runs off with it. Now you have to hunt the thief down and recover the horse. 3. You are asked by a traveling merchant to keep an eye on his injured horse while he goes to the nearest city stables to get help, and while the merchant is away you have to defend the horse from others that might want to take him. When help arrives, the merchant asks you to follow him to the stables. Once there the stable master gives you a number of tasks to help heal the horse, like gathering herbs or buying a potion in the city and other little things. While that is going on you have a chance to bond with the horse. By the time the horse is back to full strength, the merchant has been long gone. He took another horse not being able to wait around for this one to recover, so the stable master gives the horse to you. What do you think of that? Nexusaurus
(Requires dark brotherhood membership) Some merchant's son ran away with a peasant and you need to track them down in the roads of skyrim before they get away. They'll be disguised to look like normal travelers, and start out somewhere in the west and head east. You can either track them down and kill them or fake their deaths because true love or something. Just needs 2 NPCs, the traveling couple, and the quest can start via a note. Whether there will be an ironic twist to letting them live is something I'll leave up to you, if you want to make this a thing.

Vulpes95
Quest Name: Killing the Messenger. Activation: Upon reaching a certain level, you may have a random encounter with a courier who will force greet you, only to draw his sword and attack you. After depleting his health enough, he will cast "invisibility" and flee. Objective: Find and kill a bandit pretending to be a courier. Progression: After a certain number of days, you can find the fake courier in the capital of the same hold, surrounded by a bunch of guards. As you approach, they tell you to leave, but if you get closer, the courier will force greet you and beg you to vouch for him, sob story optional. If you have a high enough speech skill, you can convince the guards that he is a distant relative, harmless but prone to wandering the streets, due to witbane. They will then release him, but if you have an even higher speech score you can convince them that, due to his condition, if he doesn't constantly medicate, his condition will become worse, which could create a bigger problem for the guards down the line. This will result in the guards giving the dragonborn a few healing and "cure disease" potions. Talking to the fake courier after that point will reveal that desperation was the reason he started trying to prey on people within city walls. You can either tell him tough luck, convince him that he will find better protection in the thieves' guild, or persuade him to apply his knowledge of illusion magic by going to the College of Winterhold. If you tell him it's none of your business, he will leave, sad, and never appear again. If you tell him to join the thieves' guild, he can be seen in the Ragged Flagon. If you tell him to go to Winterhold, he can be seen as an apprentice there. Alternatively, if you tell the guards about his earlier attack, they will kill him (as he is too dangerous to transport), and you can loot the body for a little gold and a leveled illusion spell tome. Edit: I apologize if this isn't feasible or it is too lore-unfriendly. Edited May 21, 2015 by Vulpes95
