schei22e Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Hi ! I searched (nearly) everywhere but could not find a solution to my question. I want my character to run faster. In Fallout3 and FO:NV the following command worked in the console: player.setav SpeedMult ## But it seems that the gamebyro engine was expanded after Oblivion, because this command does not work in Oblivion. The only similary command i could find was: setgs fmoverunmult # But this command affects every NPC, not just me.Is there a command like the one from FO3 and FO:NV, or do i have to fortify my speed/ad points to speed with the console? Sorry for my bad english, i'm german. Thanks for any help!
Striker879 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) Don't know for certain if it will work or not but what about: player.setav speed XX (with XX being the speed you want) - Edit - Came from this UESP Wiki page Edited March 24, 2015 by Striker879
piehunter55 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Where would I place that command in the Oblivion.ini file?
Striker879 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Wouldn't go in Oblivion.ini ... it's a console command. You open the console with the tilde (~) key, found just below the Esc key on standard keyboards. Edited January 5, 2016 by Striker879
Deleted35157905User Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 What is the original speed number?? i want my characters speed to be normal again
Striker879 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Unfortunately when you use the console to change your character's speed it also changes the value displayed in the game's Attribute stats page in the menus. If you don't know what the original value was then all you can do is change your speed to one that you'd like to have.
TheMastersSon Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 According to the CS the starting default PC speed is 40. If that helps.
Excogitator69 Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 (edited) You need the "player" in front of "set.gs" to affect only the player. Player.setgs fmoverunmult # works. Edited December 3, 2019 by Excogitator69
Gariled Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 I’m having the exact opposite problem, I increased my speed so much that I literally fly upon moving and die almost instantly,I NEED a command to get my speed back to normal and no the speed stat changing command doesn’t work
