MODS MOVE IF NECESSARY

(information from a Bethesda employee who wishes to remain anonymous)

- The new engine WILL be 'moddable' for PC gamers...

- there will be many new and old locations in the in game world, approx. twice as big as Oblivion

- A 2012 release is expected.

- console exclusive DLC is being planned for PS3 and 360, and both are expected on PC

-The game will run in 1080p on PS3, not 720p as in Oblivion

- 3D is suprisingly being considered

- A new combat system is planned, and will be less 'hack and slash'

Belive, or not, you will see soon enough.

I thought the game was in 3D already..

What's your source from?

By 3D, I think he means the 3D glasses-type-thing that NVIDIA can do. I'm not so sure how that'd work on a console.

I really want to believe this is true, but my doubtful side is currently winning. ymmt0, prove me wrong please!

this is a personal source, who i have spoken to via email. I am in the process of acquiring some files from development, e.g. stills of character models, early script copies, ect.

i.e. A person whom if Bethesda saw told someone this would be FIRED faster than I can spell the word.

*adds two cents* with all rumors around, there'll be people spreading out fake things as well so forgive me being reluctant on taking everything.

- The new engine WILL be 'moddable' for PC gamers...

_It'd kill their franchise if done otherwise. The fear of fallout3 not having a SDK was big, but then they did release it. Doing so for a different type of game makes it more than logical they'll do it again. As today bethblog again mentioned the newvegasnexus shows they continue to pursue this and I have no doubt that'll continue.

I doubt it's a new engine as it's been stated here that it's an upgrade/improvement. The upgraded engine would have been moddable in the first place as it's still the same, only the fact they'd have kept it moddable is interesting.

- there will be many new and old locations in the in game world, approx. twice as big as Oblivion

_nothing negative here -:-, I hope it'll be bigger and varied. My best guess it's based around Akaviir as this source says.

- A 2012 release is expected.

I'm not sure of that yet. At Quackecon/E3 (UESP.net brought that out earlier as well) todd howard/pete hines mentioned they are making a game that'd being developed more quicker than they ever did. If anyone wondered IF they were working on something..I'd listen to the 5th podcast (first 2 min.). Where as level designer is asked "So how's it going?" and he answers "Ï have not done anything since Okt 2008". Which confirms some more -:-

- console exclusive DLC is being planned for PS3 and 360, and both are expected on PC

_Just like new vegas went for the 360, they'll do one for the PS3 next time not to pick solely xbox games?

-The game will run in 1080p on PS3, not 720p as in Oblivion

_It'd be really bad of they'd sticked to 720p as most games went to 1080p after oblivion was released (some already were at that time), it'd be a bit strange if they wouldn't.

- 3D is surprisingly being considered

_Unless it's a split-screen option I doubt that. There were Nvidea 3d-glasses (at an affordable rate) 8 years ago already. The game's already in (full) 3D since morrowind.

- A new combat system is planned, and will be less 'hack and slash'

_Hopefully. Mods are simply there (and the .esp/.nif files even Always legally for bethesda) for Bethesda to learn of. Like they did with new vegas (even though that was obsidian). I bet they've learned new ways to make their animations and with deadly reflex out they'll probably closely monitored that closely from day one.

I'd like to tell more but I won't :P.
