TheTailorTan
I'm a bit confused about this value for Project ENB DEFAULT:VideoMemorySizeMb=1024 // VRAM + RAM - 2048 I have 16 GB Ram And a GTX 780 3GB.
Iamnotapirate
Thats the amount you're allocating for memory in enb. 1G=1024MB, on the right is the formula to let you know what your setting should be. So, if you have 16G (or 16,384 MB) of RAM, and 3G (or 3072 MB) of VRAM (graphics ram), then you add those two numbers together, subtract 2048 (2 gig) from that number, and then VideoMemorySizeMB=that number. Mine is 16,384, because I have 16 g in RAM, and 2G in VRAM, I even have the same card, just 2 instead of 3g. Should be all you need to know. MotoSxorpio
Simply put: 3GB + 16GB - 2GB= 17GB or 17408. This assumes that you never use more than 2GB for background and OS processes and services. You could just let ENB decide for you and set "AutodetectVideoMemorySize=" to "true". For slightly more detail on ENBLocal.ini settings, try this link on the STEP guide forums. TheTailorTan
Ah alright, Task manager shows 2,5 GB's in use and 13,4 available, And total available graphics memory is 11203, so I guess I should just write that, or do I have to subtract 2048 from 11203? MotoSxorpio
I'd say 12k 8k :D might go well there. EDIT: what's the smoothness of cells loading while say...running or riding a horse? and what did you put in reserved memory setting there just above? MotoSxorpio
That should give plenty of leeway for finding your sweet spot on reserved, but with the 980...prolly just put 64 there and go with it...figure out SLI later.
TheTailorTan
I haven't touched that line so its still the default"ReservedMemorySizeMb=512" Also smoothness of cells? You mean my FPS while riding horses? Its 60-54 sometimes drops to 46 FPS for half a second. Edit: So I should just put 8192 then? MotoSxorpio
You can check what you are using for RAM with Task Manager or Skyrim Performance Monitor. As long as you have room for background processes and services, You should be fine. :)
