[Idea] Become an Author and sell books in Skyrim

This is a Role-playing mod I came up with. It ties in with an older Morrowind mod which let you write in books or on parchment.

Idea:

Essentially the mod is more for Role-players, but would allow you too, through a menu. Write a book and name it. Then go to a "Publisher" in Windhelm (Since that's the "Main trading city"), and get it published.

Once that's done, every week you get a small income of gold off of that book, and the book is given a rating (based off of your speech-craft Skill). The Rating influences how much income weekly you get from that book.

---------------------------

Writing the Book:

You can either do it manually, or Automatic and choose the topic of the book and name.

Hunting, Gathering, Alchemy, Wild-life, Magic (seperate topics for each school), Combat Tactics, Combat (General), Long Range Fighting, Melee Fighting, Enchanting, Speech craft, Stealth (For all stealth things, pick pocket, Assassinations, etc.).

Automatic will make a "Blank" Book, like a spell:tome that can't be opened but is named whatever you named it, and then sold and given a rank off of your speech skill. You choose what the book is about in topics.

Manually: You write in the pages, literally. Though what you write isn't reflected, that is more for RP reasons, your grade is still whatever your Speech craft is.

Requirements:

1 Quill,

1 Ink Bottle

Automatic: 5 pieces of blank parchment.

Manually: 1 piece of parchment for each page you write on.

----------------------------

Other Possiblites:

1) Choosing where you sell the book determines income, etc. Which hold. Winterhold and it's college will get you a higher income with magic based books, etc, while Falkreath being more focused on wild-life, will like gathering, and hunting books.

2) Every book made will increase Speech craft by a very small margin. (Very very small since writing books would be easy to do, but would be another way to raise it.)

---------------------------

What do you guys think?

An even better idea would be to have books auto generated after each vanilla completed quest.. that details the heroes actions including various stats such as enemies fought, time spent in stealth, gold/items found..

The books entries could be different depending upon percentages of the above. Fir example; it could write key entries such as "Our hero ventured forth with fear in his/her heart".. If the player uses a certain percentage of sneak.

I think that would be far more rewarding and even funny.

Wouldn't that be a lot of load on slow pcs?

Check out Black Horse Courier Reborn. It's the closest.

Not really, actually. It's text replacement and some generation of books, and that's used a LOT in Skyrim with no issues.
