No gamebryo in TESV = Bad for modding

we all know how easy Bethesda has made it for modders using the gamebryo engine. I fear that the scraping of it could while making the game possibly better, will have a massive negative effect on the modding community. Im sure Bethesda will make it modifiable and provide the tools necessary. But with allot of the modders comfortable with this engine. Ehh I worry it will set the modders progress back along way, adjusting to the new engine.

It wont be no modds, im sure they will be many. but it will sure hit us hard.

I don't see it being an issue. Bethesda has to work with it themselves and I'm sure they've come up with some clever way to adapt the CS to the new environment. Even if we don't see the CS immediately at launch there will be something that follows shortly after that we won't have any trouble using.

The GameBryo engine is a rather simple one, which is easy to mod - but does that make it good? It's so simple anyone can use it, but it's also so simple it's hard to make your mods live up to your dreams, as some things are simply not possible.

The new engine may be harder to learn, but is that really a bad thing? This would mean there are more functions and possibilities to adapt to, which in turn, makes for better and more complex mods.

I am very positive to the fact that we are getting a new engine, as long as they supply a CS with it as well - I grow tired of the Oblivion CS at times, as it lacks so many things I want to be able to make.

The official comments on the engine are a bit vague, perhaps an upgraded Gamebryo is being used. Gamebryo is really an upgraded NetImmerse, which has existed ever since the late 90's and became Gamebryo with the creation of Oblivion. But I could be wrong. I guess I'll find out later.

Even if it is a new engine as in not in any way related to Gamebryo I don't think they would forget about modders and their interests.

Plus, if it's a bit harder to use we might get ride off at least a portion of those ultrabouncyboobs mods and tons of clothes that could never fit oblivion environment.

Skyrim uses a brand new propriety engine. Which means, it's using a brand new game engine created by Bethesda. Which means more than likely, considering how much revenue they get just from their games being moddable, espically the Elder Scrolls series, they probably had modding support in mind from the get-go. Which means more than likely, we probably gonna get a nice new construction set that's either better, or just as annoying, as the GECK, per se.

I can guarantee you that there is a CS because I have spoken to Erik West who visited Bethesda Softworks thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation. He had to sign and NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) because of the things they showed him. I'll be going to Bethesda Softworks here in a few months thanks to the same group. I've also seen pictures of him at the studio, so I know its what he says is true.

They however gave him permission to talk about the thing in common with all of their games so far, which is the construction set.

I think the engine was looking a little dated by this point anyway. What I am concerned about is a lot of companies such as Bioware with Dragon Age 2 have turned their back on the modding community due to what people do with these modding tools such as all the pornographic clothes, animations, body mods, etc. I can't really blame them I get sick of seeing nothing but pages of this garbage but I take the good with the bad. Buried amongst all the rubbish we get these gems from the community such the Realswords Series, Better Cities, Unique Landscapes, Qarls textures, etc.

I just hope with Skyrim people will still have the tools to create these little masterpieces we see now and again.
