seweryn
Yo, I have been a part of this site since 2006, and i supported it where ever i could, on forums, to my friends etc. I was trying to be nice a person here, since it is a "rule" here, which one i love to tell the truth. This site made me a better person, strange to say it lol. But i am wondering if as title says, since we already seen this with "wet and cold" mod, will it mean that modders will stop posting here ? I can donate if i have a spare cash, but not in million years i am gonna pay for mods. Modding was free and should be free. But i am off topic now. I would be sad, if this site would go under. I will do whatever in my power to oppose to idea of "forced" paying for mods. I hope everyone is well. Cheers and have a nice day,Sew
JimboUK
Thankfully the site covers more than Bethesda's games so it'll stay relevant, however if Bethesda decide to DRM mods to make sure they're only on Steam then this place is bound to get a lot quieter. MotoSxorpio
Yikes...now the non-modders are talking about it.
Fnhatic
Yes, it does. Monetized modding means that mod creators will follow the money, and Nexus survives on content. No content, no site.
FrankFamily
I hope it doesn't, having to pay for mods will mean i won't have mods anymore, i'd rather buy a new game. Anyway i'll keep releasing mods for free as i'm doing this for fun, if i wanted money i'd probably be doing something else with the whole 3d modelling thing, like looking for actual freelance jobs, selling 3d models or whatever. And i hope other authors think like me, because mod means free and it has been like that for a long time, plus i'd rather not cooperate to make steam richer (they are taking a huge cut imo). And i don't think the site wouls survive without bethesda's games, there are more? yes, but bethesda's are the most important ones by far Edited April 24, 2015 by FrankFamily
