ShadowDragyn
So I was looking through the paid mods under review on the workshop, hoping to make some reports and keep everything clean. When I found, surprise surprise, that 99% of the mods on there were fake little pieces of garbage just meant to make fun of the new paid system. Meaning that the huge majority of problems created so far, are being created by people afraid of the system causing problems. If these mods were simply there, it wouldn't even be that big of a problem. I would assume they'd just get rated down to oblivion and never be seen again. But people are up-rating the crap out of them. Many of the top rated mods on there right now that are about to get accepted into the game, with payments, are not even real mods. And oh, if you didn't catch that already, these are paid mods. Meaning that these people are going to start making money off of fake mods meant to insult people for making money off of real mods. And people are supporting them, more in fact than real mod authors. This behavior is disgusting.

ShadowDragyn
No one will actually buy these mods. I would hope not, but some are sitting at nearly 200+ Favorites after a single day.And if even one person ends up buying it, that'll be seriously #$%@ed up.You can't tell me there won't be a couple people out of tens of thousands who are like "Haha, yeah, screw those guys. I support you!" Edited April 26, 2015 by Shadow_Dragyn
striderx
People will protest however they please, don't like it? Ignore it.
Hutspot01
People are protesting. The return on value is 0. But the same can be said about the crowbars, swords and armours Bethesda/Valve selected as their showcase mods. TF2 hats and Horse Armour galore. thompsonar
I doubt these statement mods make it out of "review" and become actually purchasable. They're making more work for the reviews, yes. But I think that's the point. I like the idea, it's certainly one way to voice an opinion. Besides all the mods you can actually buy on there are terrible anyway (well I'm sure not "all") but I'm not paying 25-50 cents for one damn sword that I have to add with the console. JugsOfHolyness
So I was looking through the paid mods under review on the workshop, hoping to make some reports and keep everything clean. See, it's not your job to do that, you willingly do it out of your own time. But the problem here is that Steam EXPECTS people like you to keep it clean. And they won't pay any of these people.
