Ah, tis the season to be merry. But this year more than any other, I''ve been seeing folks taking "silly season" to heart and going a bit mad.

 

One example is the Fire Truck that's been harrassing people all afternoon here in Churchill Australia.

 

It's been hurtling around town at top speed, blasting it's foghorns at passing traffic, with the crew shouting and waving out the windows. By all things seen, it's not going anywhere, it's gone charging down my street twice, but for some reason, the CFA vols have seemingly decided to go joyriding. the only thing making it any more silly is that they're all dressed as Santa Claus.

 

Anyone else seen locals go christmas-crazy? or is it juist australians who eat too much Christmas eve candy and go bonkers?

i mean its christmas eve and im on a forum and drinking a monster... I NEVER DRINK THOSE! second time ive ever had one, its good in sips

In Sweden we kind of have this "tradition" of burning the Gävle Goat. The Gävle Goat is a giant straw goat standing in central Gävle. Almost every year since the 60s it has been destroyed. I think the funniest was in 2005, when two men dressed as Santa and a gingerbread man shot burning arrows on the goat :D

It hasn't burned yet, this year, but it's still not too late :)

Eh I don't think people around these parts know what Christmas is. I'll be working tonight, have tomorrow off, then be right back to it come Sunday. Merry Christmas to you all though. Enjoy it for me. :D

Is having a bunch of white tail deer fawns and their does in your front yard and out behind the garage at 3:00 AM MST count as Weird?

 

My place is amongst a community of about 500 people and we are only a mile from the city with 60,000 more. For them to show up in a hunting community at all would suggest to me that I am the only one who is up after 9:00 PM MST.

 

I am going to go check and see if I can upload the video of them to my Mod page so I can show it.

 

I am looking for all their bucks tonight to hook up to my red truck and turn it into a sleigh.
