AlexanderJVelicky
Hey guys. My mod should be in the top 5 for Fotm over on the Fallout 3 Nexus, but it isnt there. I was really looking forward to the boost in feedback its presence there would bring. Are there some kind of new guidelines preventing a mod from being fotm I'm unaware of? The mod is brand new (uploaded the 19th) so it has never been top 5 for fotm yet. All the other mods seem to be updating just fine as they get votes, but mine is not showing up there at all... Can anyone tell me whats going on here?

I'll take it your trying to joke. My mod has 6 endorsements this month so far, while top has 7, and 2nd and third have 6, so I should be tied for 2nd with thos etwo. But it shows 7, 6, 6, then a mod with 5, and then one with 4. Why isnt mine there? It has enough endorsements. :/ Does anyone know the exact parameters a mod must meet to qualify? ub3rman123
Endorsements and FotM votes are seperate. Although usually you see a correlation between the two, it's somewhat random as to when users decide to endorse and/or hit the vote for FotM button. AlexanderJVelicky
Ohhhhhh ok. When did he change that? Last time I checked (it was like a year ago) they were the same. Why did he change it? See I didnt even know, if I wanted a file to be FOTM I would just endorse it... That explains it. Thanks. Dark0ne
First of all: if your mod is not worthy of being in the top 5, it wont be If you've got nothing productive to say in these types of threads don't say it at all. I'll take it as a sign of you trying to get easy +1's to your post count and deduct your post count total by a healthy amount to compensate. Ohhhhhh ok. When did he change that? File of the Montha and the Top 100 have always been two separate divisions. FOTM works off of votes; only one vote per person per month. The top 100 work off endorsements; user's can endorse each file once if they've downloaded the file.

Maybe you (Gunmaster95, I mean) were confused by the switch from numerical ratings to endorsements, but FotM votes and endorsements/ratings have always been different things. I think if there's a tie in number of votes then endorsements come into play in the FotM ranking, but that's only my guess based on a few observations; I think # of downloads might be in there too. I don't really need an answer here, just slightly curious because I like to analyze things ;)
AlexanderJVelicky
Hmmm, that makes sense. One is limited and one is not, I see why you picked this system now. Thanks for the response Dark0ne! Keep up the good work on the sight. :D @ HugePinball - That makes sense. If two files are tied it uses download # to figure out the winner.
