Also, I hated how divisive this was. Let's keep collaboration strong here. It boggles my mind that only 1% of people who play Skyrim have ever made a mod. I suspect that it's because of the learning curve, not the lack of incentive, as Bethesda seem to suggest. I feel like collaboration and teaching each other are how we will get more people to participate in modding.

A few important thoughts:

Will they reintroduce paid modding as part of Fallout 4 and TES6?

What about those other games from other studios that Valve hinted would/will also have this introduced?

What if Valve returns to this for Skyrim with the exact same idea but only minor improvements, such as a better, but still far too low cut for the modders?

It's important to think about such issues as the weeks and months go by.

+1
Thats what I also agree with too they just give the geck, the rest of the tools are all from some other companies be it the modder buys them, uses educational licenses, freeware, community made. I so want to see Bethesda release their production pipeline tools to the modding community, would be nice to do everything in Maya for once when it comes to modding. If they release their production pipeline tools to the community I could also make so many new animations for people. We could turn out so many better looking mods as well...

First time commenter.

I with TotalBiscuit. I believe modders deserve to be paid, but not with this model. I respect Bethesda and the Nexus community, and hope some where down the line they can create a system where modders can actually make a living modding, and still keep it free like the youtube model.
