secksegai
There is this girl at church I like named Kim. She is an immigrant from Korea. I heard that in Korea girls are into guys who play Starcraft, and that some of the top starcraft players marry actresses and models. I am trying really hard to become good at Starcraft, although I almost always lose to my Korean friends. Kim has a pink netbook with a hello kitty sticker on it, but no machine that can play Starcraft. She also says that she has never had a boyfriend, and is a virgin. I really like her, and want to win her heart, which computer should I get to impress her? Honestly this post sounds like trolling... I really, really doubt a nice computer will win her heart. Besides, if she's that into tech, simply having it wouldn't be all that impressive, knowing the actual hardware and being able to share in her appreciation would be a different story. Not all Koreans are into StarCraft. Think of it this way, in the long run, you want her to be impressed with you, not some object, especially one that becomes dated pretty quick. Popstars marry professional gamers in Korea, they are like the football(soccer) star players in their eyes. Strange culture for sure, but he is not trolling at all! He is not stereotypical in any way, he is just giving an example of a normal Korean. I also discovered that the biggest religion in South Korea was Christianity. Yes, they give us a lot of surprises. MacBook Air sounds like a good gift. I think a girl would think it as cute computer and the boot up is extremely fast. :) Edit: He wrote computer to impress a girl, not boy. Some of you haven't looked at the title correct. I assume that your girlfriend isn't quite the gamer and only needs one for internet, writing, mail, skype and some other things. I would recommend the MacBook Air for that. Cute, Cool and very light. the 13" is my favorite. Edited December 30, 2010 by Feltmarskal

I am trying really hard to become good at Starcraft, although I almost always lose to my Korean friends.Yeah, I can also generalize and say that girls like men with money, power and fame. But have you actually talked to this girl to find out if that is something she is "into" or not? Kim has a pink netbook with a hello kitty sticker on it, but no machine that can play Starcraft. She also says that she has never had a boyfriend, and is a virgin. I really like her, and want to win her heart, which computer should I get to impress her?I'm going to jump out on a limb here and say that no computer you buy is going to "win her heart"....ever. And if it could, it isn't the kind of girl you want to keep...unless you like materialistic girls you can never afford to keep up with due to want-itis. #1 - Let her know you are interested in her.#2 - Be confident and honest. Nice girls seem to like that more than whatever car / computer / toy you have. Girls don't like men who don't know what they want so don't present that kind of attitude when it comes to your feelings for her. Girls also want to be chased and adored. So even if she shoots you down during your initial statement that you like her, give her time to think about it and continue your pursuit but don't be psycho about it either. You may be quite surprised at how well it works by making your intentions clear at the beginning. Even if it doesn't work out romantically, you may gain a great friend. I once asked a girl out on Valentines Day but she shot me down saying that she had a boyfriend. A few days later she came to me and asked if I was still interested. She apparently had it with her boyfriend and wanted to move on....and she new I was an option because I made it clear just a few days earlier. LHammonds PS - I can vouche for what CommanderCrazy says about the Thermaltake case. I bought one myself a year ago when I built my pc.
Marthos
If a girl was only going to be with you because of what you own, be it a computer, a car, a private yacht or otherwise, your best course of action would be to have nothing to do with her. Sinophile
#1 - Let her know you are interested in her.She knows, I asked her for sex, but she said no. If a girl was only going to be with you because of what you own, be it a computer, a car, a private yacht or otherwise, your best course of action would be to have nothing to do with her. Why would you own a yacht in the first place if you didn't want to impress a woman? Yeah, I can also generalize and say that girls like men with money, power and fame. But have you actually talked to this girl to find out if that is something she is "into" or not?She is into God, and doing church stuff. No it doesn't, that is how Korea is, even if you don't believe it. Popstars marry professional gamers in Korea, they are like the football(soccer) star players in their eyes. Not all Koreans are into StarCraft. The young adult group at our church holds weekly starcraft tournaments, I always place last though. There has been talk of making non-Korean Starcraft tournaments, but that would be like a non-back NBA.

You said "win her heart" but it seems you meant "get into her pants." Forget what I said then...it doesn't apply to you. Why would you own a yacht in the first place if you didn't want to impress a woman? Like I said, my advice does not apply to you now that you've made your intentions clear. Sinophile
You said "win her heart" but it seems you meant "get into her pants."So what if I asked her to help me with my math homework? Does that mean I don't like her as a friend, and only want to use her to get an A in College Algebra?

jojo man
As genuinely hilarious as I find this whole hypothetical situation, I'm of the opinion that we've all been trolled. And in the event that i'm incorrect, and that every word out of the OPs mouth is 100% true...........I would have given him some advice, but since he's made it clear all he wants to do is sleep with her, tough.
