Deleted472477User
There are many things no one understands about Oblivion... lol. Morrowind had pretty bad graphics, but everything in it was better... *Sigh* And if they importing it from Morrowind, why in Oblivion did they (excuse the pun :P) change it to be crappy?! Here's my take. Maybe the armor itself doesn't get imported, but the glass itself does, and some of the folks native to Cyrodiil learn to work it. So it lacks the awesome Dunmer of Vvardenfell appearance, and instead takes on the generic pseudo-medieval flavor of the Oblivion setting.
vhunter
3) Is armor handled like in Oblivion (with each body part being welded together) or in Morrowind (with each body part separate)? Will you be able to wear both clothes and armor at the same time?Matt: The armor system is very similar to Oblivion’s. The main difference is that the upper and lower body armors, the cuirass and greaves, have been combined into one piece. This helps create armor styles that have the look we needed for Skyrim. In most of the Nordic designs we created, the upper armor would completely cover the lower armor, making it unnecessary. We get much better visual results combining those pieces, and it renders a lot faster too, so we can put more people on screen, so that was an easy tradeoff for us. We can also make a lot more armors now, so the number and variation types are more than we’ve ever had. According to the recent Fan interview, they are combining armor. This sucks. Venedox
every armor has now 4 parts - helmet , body , gauntlets , and boots they just combined the other parts together, like the breast or leg armor.
Deleted472477User
Guess what? Tyris Flare and Red Sonja also wear "bikini armors". Look at Conan the Barbarian: he wears what is borderline extremely skimpy "bikini armor". If some people are so anti-bikini armor, it's not difficult to just turn a blind eye from such mods or even from some armors found in the game originally made by the developers. I don't understand why some people just can't accept entertainment for what it is: entertainment. I don't take issue with it per se. Where I have a problem is when Bethesda produces ugly-ass armor and don't even try to adapt it for a female form, and then the modders step in (which is awesome!) and produce stuff that looks decent, but then the attractive yet properly covering mods are overwhelmed by the stuff that looks like pasties and a p-patch, modelled by some bimbo who looks like two basketballs taped to a broom handle rather than, you know, someone who could actually hand someone their butt in battle. (Well actually, maybe she could hand them their ass, if she wasn't falling on her face due to lack of a balanced lower body ;D) That's just me though. Omeletter
There arent only Armor sets like in fallout you can use glass gloves and an elve helmet if you like - to prove this i have some Screenshots from the E3 2011.Thanks, I guess we cleared that out. HelmetArmor - Upper and Lower body combinedGauntlets/GlovesBoots Now here is something that bugs me. They said that only armor is combined... Does it also apply to clothes? I hope I and the NPC's can wear different clothes while in town.

And just to give an excuse for why they are merged, I heard the people of Skyrim are really sensitive when it comes to fashion.
InuyashaFE
I hope we at least have two separate slots when it comes to the creation kit, I want to be able to at least mod in separate armors.

Fallout's geck is modable with upper and lower but no one makes armor or chothing as such and I dont see skyrim molding changing either. I don't have a single problem with it seems to work better. Technically, it isn't, there's only an UpperBody slot. Only way to do it is to use up other slots for other armors and such (such as the BodyAddOn slot)
WrathOfDeadguy
A few more grades of fur/hide would be nice. Draped furs as a barbarian-style armor and cleaned/tailored furs as slightly more upscale but still low-level kit? Furs combined with chainmail? Anything with fur in it, really... it's gonna be cold up there! Agreed on the armor slots though. Mix'n'match is the way to go... creates a more varied game world, too, since even if they're wearing bits and pieces of the same outfits every other NPC won't necessarily be wearing exactly the same clothes. Just saying.
