HeyYou
I saw a mod on the nexus recently that removed the Essential tag from every NPC in the game. I don't know how he did it, but I feel like that could make for an interesting, though short, playthrough of the game. All it is, is a checkbox in their properties. Just going thru EVERY NPC and making sure it is unchecked is tedious, to say the least.

EDIT: typos due to engaging shotgun shell into chamber...Typing and loading your shotgun is NOT practicing Gun Safety. The NRA will be by shortly, to lash you with a wet noodle, to within an inch of your boredom. Please wait there, they should be knocking soon. :D
themohawkninja
I want killable children so I can slay all of those little runts since Bethesda wouldn't let me... but I don't want to accidentally kill the kids that have quests for me.
redprincess79
I wouldn't mind if they died, but I have yet to find a mod that does this without coming with a myriad of bugs! The last mod I tried had my kids grow up to be giants that towered over my character and her husband, Farkas! Freaky freaky s#*!. If someone wants to recommend a decent mod, be my guest. Because frankly, some children in the game are annoying as hell and I wouldn't mind see dying.

LOL I just leave the kids alone, adopt one in every population center that I've acquired a home in, because Skyrim is a hard cruel world and since none of the race are immortal, they need the promise of continuity of existence. dpgillam
Immortal because I hate dead towns which is why i use essential npc mods for towns because the vampires make my towns dead quick and I don't feel like doing dawngaurd at all. Also I don't feel the need to, feels out of character for me. So why have it installed? Crossbows? :D Hey, crossbows are a cool reason!
dpgillam
My 13 year old grandkid demanded to be allowed to play my heavily modded Skyrim. I helped him get through the tutorial ( he promptly forgot everything) He quickly got bored and decided to go on a typical 13 year old killing spree. After taking on a guard on the first try, and coming in second place. He restarted - and this time tried to kill a helpless kid. I don't have a killable kids mod because to me they are just part of the background scenery. He was pissed. He kept hitting her, and she just ran. So he chased her - right into a group of NPCs that promptly ganged up on him. He restarted . this time he decided to pick on something more his size - a chicken. He quit playing right after that "It's not FAIR! This game is just too hard!" :laugh:lolololololololThats awesome!

This game is just too hard!" :laugh:lmao@ you letting him at your game though. :D Why? Cuz killing children is one of the worst crimes that can be committed by most Government laws. Making it seem ok in a video game that children might play could desensitize that child and later help promote a behavioral pattern that in the long run produces a child killing serial killer. Game makers don't want to be known for letting people kill children. Whether it's pixelized or not, it's still "children". Please don't kill the children, they help keep our species going. Ive been playing Mario in various incarnations most all my life, It never made me want to smash barrels with a sledge hammer, jump on turtles, throw balls of fire at mushroons, or drop banana peels in front of cars. Blaming video games for kids being violent is like blaming forks for making you fat.
