I don't get the appeal of killing kids? I can see if you're really into your character, ie: You assassinate someone and a child witnesses it, thus the function to kill all who've seen you. I just don't see the need... I'm sure they've put something in the game to balance that out. Like kids sleep at night always or such...

It's nice to have complete freedom, but there are limits. I personally wouldn't agree with child killing in any way and I hope it never becomes a function of the game.(modding is obviously gonna have it but that's different, the same goes for nudity, it's a given with people talented and too much free time lol)

I don't understand the supposed morality issue of this. You're allowed to be a maniac and slaughter hundreds of innocent people for literally no reason other than boredom. Apparently, that's okay, but it's far too horrible to allow the player to kill a child. Why is it okay to kill adults, but not children?

True, but where do we draw the line then? If it's fine to kill everyone in a game, including kids, would it be ok to make a porn game that allowed you to rape children? I'm not big on doing mean things to kids, and I think the whole argument of "it messes with the immersion" is plain ole horserashes. So what if you can't kill kids? It's not like Todd and the good folks at Beth Game Studios are infringing on your rights.

Um, I'm not too found of ANY game that lets you rape people, no matter who it is...

Exactly there.because that is illegal in the US and the UK to depict, or even suggest possible cartoon paedophilia, Like school uniforms even on woman who are 18 having sex, unless it explictly states they are 18, is now child porn.

edit: and I think any real depictions of rape are also illegal in the UK and definitely Scotland. You can still rape in cartoons though

I think we need to ditch this issue.

So anyway, what about them new spells lol

You are certainly right about the ditching! ;)

This is the second time this week that this thread has gone over to an entirely different topic, and hopefully, it's the last time...

From that french article LadyGodiva posted:

All these crafts are attractive but they are not necessarily facilitated by the inventory management that has been oversimplified. The contents of your pockets is now listed in a menu. The most powerful equipment are clearly marked and you certainly can choose the objects that interest you the most and then access them easily ... Clearly, this new system is designed so that you do not spend too much time in your inventory. It is not certain that this view pleases all fans of role-playing ... It at least has the merit of not handicapping players who use consoles, but PC gamers who are used to the mouse may miss the old interface of Oblivion. This point of detail, however, shouldn’t prevent anyone from fully appreciating the richness of this famous Skyrim.

What?! Miss the Oblivion interface?? Is that even possible? ;D

On to something else. Certain journalists say that PC users won't like the interface. They said many wish it went back to the Oblivion user interface. One thing they obviously don't know the PC will be optimized for that (Like using the arrow keys in the menu.) Plus many assume that you can't use the 360 controller. (Not saying everyone will. I will at first until the script editor comes out for Skyrim allowing for more attacks and things to be used on keyboard.) Final thing is people say the Skyrim Strategy guide will be 500 pages. How do they know? I'm sent a message to GStaff on FB to see if I'm right that it might be an estimate for pages or whatever. What do you guys think?

Edit: Thanks Zaldiir for the Journalists I was talking about, lol. Ah it says used to the mouse. But that seems like saying I don't use a keyboard. Because I am sure the keyboard will be used in the menu. It was underused in my opinion for Oblivion.

Is it "certain jornalists" or "a certain journalist" we are talking about here? From the vids we have seen so far (though the UI might have changed since then) it looked pretty good, at least a lot better than oblivions.

There are quite a few famous voice actors arnt there.

That's a bad thing.

Because they need to pay them more money for almost the same experience that normal voice actors would give.

And I prefer unknown voices rather then known.
