I saw the second one before, but the first seems familiar, yet I do not remember seeing that armor at all.

And if some people want to know, the greaves are now part of the cuirass, it's said in this interview:

I'm not sure if it's old news, I was away for some time.

 

EDIT: If I am correct, then in these two pictures:

You can see, same armor, different pauldrons.

I wonder if it's just a slight variation in the armor, like the same class armor (for example, leather) having multiple models with varying parts. Either that or the older picture just has a model that they discarded in favor of the more recent appearance.

It's not yet confirmed that the greaves are gone.

Quoting a Bethesda Softworks employee at their forums:

 

dont assume peoples, wait till you know for sure.

 

I am just hoping that there was a mistake in the interview, or that the greaves are not finished for all armors, yet.

You can't even really see the left pauldron of the Nord in the second picture, if you were to look at him from a different angle then he could easily have the animal hide hanging off the pauldron.
