El`derina
I really think the magical arts are much more balanced out and each one seems really quite useful. I still think conjuration will still be the weakest still, but I always focus on that and alchemy. This time there is so much choice in character build through perks. It's hard choices how is cojuration the weakest?you summon a monster... hide while magic recharges, and then summon another when the pet dies. Easily the most useful in terms ofa: preventing damageb: creating a distractionc: having time to heal oneselfd: running away and although its not the best for dishing out damage(at least it wasn't in other TES games) it'll still put some out there!really, that added time it buys you pretty much gives you the win. I suppose you could always go illusion and fear everything, but whats the fun in that? lol

jancina25
I tend to watch my summons fight to death against enemies, rather then just use them as distraction. Its more fun :P
AltreU
Conjuration would be viable as a main skill if you focused on bound weapons. I think atronach summoning is great for support and depending on how many enemies you can revive with the necromancy spells, necromancy could be a pretty sexy option (armies of undead chickens=fear in the hearts of you foes). hejpadig
At this precise moment, the waiting is at its worst moment. I personally want to chat about Skyrim, but everything we know so far has pretty much already been said. I don't want to see any new spoilers because of the fact that it's less than a week left, so it feels useless. But I still want to fill my brain with Skyrim information. Are you fellas like this as well? Edited November 4, 2011 by hejpadig
Imiona
Did we get any information on crafting at all yet? Seems to me there is nothing out there.

Watch the "Behind the wall: Making of Skyrim trailer"that gives a lot of visuals of the different crafting.

I suppose you could always go illusion and fear everything, but whats the fun in that? lol In MW it was really powerful. I could, and did :), summon as many lesser bonewalkers as I wanted at the same time, from amulets that cost like 300 gold bought in ald'ruhn, and they recharged on their own. In Ob it was gimped a bit. It couldn't serve as an effective combat style. It didn't fulfil the role it should have. for a combat art, it was very meh, none of the summons healed or buffed you, and the shielding it did provide was imo a bit weak, costly, and inconstant, other skills and spells were more effective at doing that for less cost. a: not much for the cost. other spells are much better at that. b: but it often doesn't, enemies can ignore your summon. c: see a & b, which is the same benefit, it ended up a mere distraction. d: what? conjuration was good for running away. In Ob it was a mere inconvenience to enemies. I have always played conjurer in TES games. And will do again.
