junjo75
i dont c how the xbox360 or ps3 will b able to play this with decent settings. like dynamic snow and shadows and it being a newly developed engine? not that im promoting the PC route. but the xbox and ps3 have been around a while, right? I'm sure the drivers for the 360 etc are much better than at release. Plus, now with the console market being so huge, developers will optimize their technology and engines to run on 360's etc to ensure the best quality on the console is availible. Also, during the music for skyrim development video there was a 360 plugged into a monitor behind Lampert where he must test his sound effects and i don't think the developers would be using the worst device for the making of the game. Hey, you said it, not me. *Goes back to playing Oblivion with several hundred new spells, ten new races, a zillion new weapons, overhauled graphics and textures 4 times the size of the originals*

If is wasn't designed with console hardware in mind the shadows might actually look good. :whistling:

By the way: Yes there is dynamic snow, but it's only in textures. You won't actually see snow pile up higher, it just controls whether the ground is covered or not. There is dynamic fire, but it doesn't spread: Again, it's just textures. If you use fire on some grass it'll cause that patch of grass to become charred and blackened. Last I played new vegas, I wasn't thrilled with the mod selection. He can get away with that one for a while longer me thinks. hmmm, didn't oblivion have mods for dynamic effects for rain and snow? Can't remember.
AltreU
Someone tried to get rain to have dynamic properties, but it mostly caused everyone CTDs. I loved how Far Cry 2 did dynamic fire. I'm not normally a pyro, but in that game, I caused forest fires everywhere.http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/dance.gif
