SandsOfTime404
Possibly. I had heard/read somewhere that Glass Armor came from volcanic glass. Assuming that the two are similar. I'm not sure, but either way it's an interesting find.
ffa1mf
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flexible_glass This is why glass armor exists. The secret wasn't lost.
majikmonkee
All interesting theories. Of course, it could be some completely different substance altogether since we're talking about a fantasy setting. Granted, there are a lot of real world metals and materials represented in Oblivion, but then we have mithril too...which I don't think exists in the real world (I could be wrong though). GreatLucifer
Mithril is not real :D no... It's supposed to be some form of super-silver, and originates from, I guess we all know it, ... LOTR! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithril Would be cool if it was real, though ;) Lucifer

I noticed it's very low weight in Oblivion as well. I was glad they referenced it as an armor in Oblivion, even if I don't ever use it.

Eshenaleros
just to throw a wrench into the works a bit, aren't dwarves elven in Tamriel? Dwemer, they call them
GreatLucifer
Indeed they are. If you ask me, that's the first place they went wrong.... Dwarves are not elves :wallbash: Make an elven race, ok....Make it a delving-kind underground race, ok.... But that does not make them Dwarves  They're not even small and bearded :DBut hey, that could just be me...
